Hacking ver 8.1.0-19U , r4i gold deluxe , unable to load 3ds ROMs, please help.

I have a gold and a blue card.
Extracted wood r4 kernel onto the root of a formated microSD.

Inserted blue card.
Ran 3ds setup from menu.

Programing.​

Verify...​

3DS setup process is completed.​

Press HOME button and go to main menu. ​

(I remember seeing screenshots where below the third line, it showed you steps how to enter the starter mode.... Mine won't....)

Pressed home.
Removed 3DS SD card, formatted it, put on launcher.dat file.




I can't seem to run the exploit from other settings --> Profile ---> Nintendo DS profile (it just brings up the normal window, doesn't boot to the starter mode....)

Won't accept gold starter cartridge with 3ds roms on it either. Just loads a blank box where the game should be, holding or pressing select does nothing.....

Ive also tried putting the launcher file in first before activating the starter mode, still doesn't work...
I've gotten the message after inserting the Sd card please wait we're installing software or something like that, but Nintendo DS Profile loads like it normally would....


What am I doing wrong? I've downloaded the latest firmware from r4ids.cn and i'm not necessarily a n00b when it comes to setting these up, i've just never been able to get the 3ds to set up.....

Is this not compatible with the new version??? 8.1.0-19U?

What can I do?

You lost your money, all 3DS cards works only on 4.1-4.5.

several of our customers did the same as you!
have a V7.x or V8.x 3DS but ordered the R4i Gold 3DS Deluxe version to run 3ds roms.

in the product description, we use red color marked "run 3DS roms on V4.1-V4.5 3DS LL/XL console."
but several customers still made mistake.

So, recommend customers read the description carefully before ordering.
even though the seller allow you return the wrong card, you will lost some money for the shipping fees,
and our sellers maybe lost some money too

Thats another revision, the gold 3ds is for DS games, you can buy that one if thats what you are looking for.

The "deluxe" one is the one that plays 3DS games, but you need a 4.X console.

in all fairness im pretty sure the similar names are intended to try confuse people to pay for a useless card.....not to mention loads of resellers plaster the "blue card compatibility" all over the site to further confuse people....but if future do your research.

Probably 5.x+, the only way to be sure it is 4.x is by checking the serial number.

Having a Nintendo Serial Number <= SW12xxxxxx x in North America, SEx1153xxxx x or SUx1035xxxx x in Europe, or SJF1265xxxx x in Japan for a 3DS XL (or <= CW7235xxxx x for a regular 3DS in North America)

i just searched 4.5 3ds xl in ebay when i bought my blue 3ds xl and am running gateway.

this person is selling 4.5 3ds xl, not sure if color matters to you,

a good tip for when you get one is to move your settings icon too the second screen so you know its not emunand and to not update it/ add wireless settings.

alot of the Mario 3D land bundles are 4.1-4.5 I nearly bought a white one the seller told me was in that range before he stupidly formatted his 3DS and then lost the game, panicked and updated the console. Oh well I got a new one instead. If you use ebay etc just ask them for the firmware and tell them if they don't update it you'll buy it now ..

There is one Sky 3DS but it hasn't been released yet then there's Gateway that's suppose to be releasing a new firmware update i'd recommend one of those cards
