Hi,

I'm new to Nintendont so I may ask some stupid questions ... sorry in advance.

I was an happy user of a PAL Gamecube with Qoob chip and the official component cable so I was used to playing most of the game with progressive scan. Unfortunately my component cable died some days ago.

Some context : I'm using latest Nintendont with 1:1 clean rip of my games : the MD5 matched redump.org.

So I ripped some games and tried to run them with Nintendont on my PAL Wii (with component cable also). My first question are :
* Would it be possible to add the region after the game name, I have US and EUR version of Mario Sunshine / Mario striker and can't find out which version it is (I just use the P or the E in the game ID).
* I saw that Mario Sunshine EUR is working with force 480p on the compatibility list. I tried many settings and never managed to make it boot with 480p. Could somebody share the correct settings. Super Mario Sunshine US work completely fine in 480p but I'd prefer having french audio and text.

Well, now that I think, the PAL games even with the "Force Progressive" option are still in interlaced mode, I use Paper Mario PAL, or the Wind Waker PAL, and both still seing in 480i, too see the region of the game, currently you can only use the computer, the next is boot the game to see the region.
EDIT: This happend with an old revision, because now I have The Wind Waker NTSC, but I'm in r129 and Paper Mario stills the same, however I didn't try the NTSC Paper Mario, sop I don't know very well if it's in progressive, but the game is blurry, it isn't very sharpen.

With the only two games I tested I had different results :
* Mario Smash football PAL is really in 480p if I enable the progressive patch
* Super Mario Sunshine is not : I can have 480i or 576i but never any progressive scan.

I have Paper Mario EUR somewhere, I'll try that.

I finally managed to get Nintendont to like my PS4 controller, spent the last couple hours playing some GC games! It works pretty great! I wanted to ask - I spent a while playing Twilight Princess and noticed that basically none of the background music plays during cutscenes. Is that an audio streaming issue? I'm curious.
Yeah, the music used in a lot of cutscenes isn't sequenced but streamed instead.
There are 127 streams in the game.

I'm having a bit of an odd issue with Nintendont now, although I guess its more of an inconvenience.

As you know when the homebrew channel is loaded, it gets put into a 4:3 aspect ratio because of Nintendo's Virtual Console software. I then use the Aspect correction to put it back into 16:9. However when playing Gamecube games I would rather leave it in 4:3. So I go into Nintendont, load a game, but then it overrides the 4:3 and goes back into a stretched 16:9 image. I'm wondering how I can stop that from happening.

I tried simply tinkering with the aspect ratio options on my TV, but when receiving input from an HDMI cable it doesn't seem to offer a 4:3 option, which I guess makes sense.

I did not find Paper Mario but found Mario Kart Double Dash instead and I begin to believe that Mario Smash Football is the only EUR game I own that can be set to 480p

I use USB Loader GX and my settings for Mario Smash Football are :
* Video Mode : Force NTSC480p
* Progressive Patch : ON
* The rest is default.

Same settings don't work with Sunshine and Double Dash.

Both Mario Sunshine and Double Dash are said to work with 480p that's strange ....

I have a question, I'm looking at the old Google code page for Nintendont, and I'm looking at the section there that says features Nintendont will never support. And it reads:
  • GBA-Link cable
Is this true? Will Nintendont really never be able to notice the GBA-Link cable? I haven't tried it on my regular Wii, but really if you play 4 Swords adventures with your GBA connected to the 1st GC slot, it wont recognize it? Furthermore, I'm sure that was noted long before the GC controller to Wii U accessory was announced, is it possible that it may be possibly read through that? I guess I wouldn't be surprised if this never can work with Nintendont, but this will be the one reason then why I can't completely abandon my original Wii for when I want to play 4 Swords Adventures via Dios Mios on my standard Wii with some buddies that still have their GBAs and link cables (surprisingly I do still have mine as do a couple of my friends).

Did you name the file "Controller" or "Controller.ini"? I had that issue the other day, and you have to name it just "Controller". Also make sure it's in the root of your SD card.

So I have an issue playing on my original wii with a ps3 controller. Everything works fine, but the analog triggers, don't work like analog triggers. I can't hold halfway down in Sunshine, and I am using the default ps3 config file. Is this just a limitation of the app or is this fixable?

I think the controller.ini in the repository is missing something

I'm having issue with PS3 Controller too, my Nintendon't work fine with Gamecube Controller but it does'nt work with PS3. I've put the default ''controller_ps3.ini'' that renamed into ''controller.ini'' in my Hard Drive where i stock the game. I've tryed the HiD_Test and it reconize my DS3 but when i boot a game (i'm using Wind Waker PAL) it does'nt reconize my DS3 even if it's plugged in the Wii USB Port...

Not when i load i game it get stuck into ''Checking FS...'' :/

This normally happens when you have a large harddrive or the drive is formatted wrong. If the drive is large then reboot the wii and try again. If you ALWAYS get checking fs then the drive is formatted wrong.

As for your controller issue did you turn on hid in Nintendont settings?

I've tryed changing the USB port and it fixed the ''Checking FS'', but i don't understand what you mean by hid settings, is it when you press ''B'' on Nintendon't menu? Btw, my games is in my USB so do i need to put my controller.ini in SD Card or USB?
