Hi everyone! first of all i'm sorry for this being my first post (i always read gbatemp for my Wii modding needs anyway) my name is Leo and i'm from Argentina.

well, i have a problem with Nintendont especifically with my ps2 controller. i'm using a generic ps2 to usb adapter, i try with the controller.ini in the git repo but i't doesn't work, after trying HIDTest i noticed that i have to change PID Value (btw i'm uploading my controller.ini for reference) after all the gamepad works BUT my L1,L2,R1,R2 doesn't work. analog, and classic buttons aka X Circle etc. works without a problem, soooo my question is, what can be wrong? i know that i have to change some values in the ini, but i really don't know what to change, (if i press L1,R1 in HIDTest the values change so the controller works, but i can't figured out how to pass that values to the ini).

thanks for reading and i'm sorry for my primitive english.

Mayflash Wireless Wii U Pro Controller Adapter seems to be unusable for most games. It's dropping joystick inputs like crazy. I've tested both the adapter and controller on PC and they both work like a charm, so a problem with either of those are out of the question.

Is this a configuration problem or was this known and marked under "working"?

If you use HIDTest does it work? an user mentioned a few pages back that his adapter didn't work at all so decided to use a different controller.

In HIDTest, press the buttons and see what pair changes (count from 0 starting on the left) and the value you get. then change the values in the controller.ini like Button=Position, Value.

Edit: Add "DigitalLR=1" to your controller.ini as well.

Well, Dualshock 3 decides to stop accepting input whenever it feels like and this adapter just doesn't like me?

Do I have to take these controllers on a date first or what?

I have tons of hours on the ps2, ps3, and magic joy box adapter and never had any controller problems

thanks Faku, i'm testing right now, i'll post the results later.

btw: i didn't had the DigitalLR value in my ini.

I can't vouch for any other controllers, but I can verify that the PS3 controller works fine for me as well, haven't had any issues with Nintendont stopping accepting input from it.

The only problem I have is when people edit the list to change a game from working to not working and they don't include the last working revision. Already seen this happen to a few games already.

Is there nothing that can be done about helping the consistency of updating the Wiki, like, at all? This seems to be an ever-increasing issue and very well could confuse more people than help.

Typically my DS3 will work a few seconds after the game starts, then just shuts down. Pressing the PSButton will do the 4 flashing LEDs telling it to look for a PS3 (which I have unplugged upstairs) then give up after a few seconds as it normally would. I have only got it to work once for an entire session.

However, the Wii U Pro situation is irritating to say the least. Should I revert back to an older build? This "well it works sometimes" talk makes very little sense to me and should be at least be reflected in the OP. Obviously it isn't working if multiple people are having unknown issues.

you are only pressing the ps button after the game launches right? not on nintendont menu right? you should only press the ps3 controller ps button when the game actually starts, i never had any issue with that and i use it also if your on the wii you need to enable hid settings on wiiu you dont.

added some more working games to the compat list for more info go there

As zombieman said, the disc switch is automatic, as long as you have both isos in the same folder, Disc 1 should be game.iso and Disc 2 should be named disc2.iso

So I have my disc 1 in a folder like this usb:/games/GCDE08/game.iso so rename my disc 2 from game.iso to disc2.iso and put it in the folder listed above.

Yes. I only press it once when the game starts.

The only way I see this problem happening is maybe of my USB cable is loose or becoming faulty. I assume if I drop connection from the Wii U for even a second it'll disconnect the controller until I restart.

If you have the second disc in a different folder then yes, rename it as disc2.iso and move it there.

I think the problem is that not many people has tested the adapter so I guess it's hard to actually say if "multiple people" has issues. Aside from you I remember only one other user with issues. Are you sure you're using the latest revision?

There's already a thread about controllers, and honestly, the development discussion is made by the devs on their own; so the only part of it that reaches this thread is to announce the latest changes made when uploading a revision. So basically, having this thread as a support/announcement mix isn't really bad.

I guess it would help to clean it up a bit because no one tries to read 500+ pages and some don't even try to search before asking the same questions that have been answered.

The Mayflash Wii U Pro adapter works with the configuration on the google code page
https://nintendon-t.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/controllerconfigs/nintendont_wiiuprousb.ini
The problem is people keep trying to use old versions.

We alredy have a controller thread, I think is no need to sticky so many Nintendont threads... it could be useful, but you know.... having too much Nintendont sticky thread would be strange.

I agree. There's 528 pages on this thread and about 520 of them could be in Support or Controller Support.

The last three pages of this thread have been controller discussions. If people are going to dump their entire controller.ini files, than shouldn't they do that in the correct thread? A little sanity could help here.

Yeah, I know, but, come on, it's not the death of nobody posting controller issues here, in fact, the major part of the Nintendont people are here, so if they post here, they have more odds that solve their problems. But it's right that the controller problems should be posted in it's thread.

Other useful posts get buried beneath the mounds of controller posts. If their posts were deleted and were told to repost it in the appropriate thread, it would go a long way towards any other meaningful discussion not being carried out across 5 pages of posts.
