Most rumors I've saw (and that Xenoblade dev re-tweeted the announcement) would be Shulk.

It doesn't seem totally far-fetched to be honest, and at least it would be a sword user that isn't based on anything medieval.

Shulk does seem like a safe bet. Of courses chances are it'll be something ridiculous (Chorus Kids rumor lol) but I wouldn't be surprised at all if it does turn out to be Shulk. Although Isaac promoted from being an assist trophy would be pretty sweet too.

wow. nice going there nintendo. REALLY NICE.
The message makes it seem more like it's a general Youtube thing and not just Nintendo. Also, you can just check the official website, it'll probably be uploaded a few minutes after. These intro videos are never long anyway.

Goku... I wish.

I just hope it's not some stupid Metallic or Baby form of a character that's on the roster like they've done in MK8.
In MK8 the character hardly matters other than weight. Here everyone has a unique moveset and such. If anything metal forms may be skins - and that's only if the green ! box item doesn't make it in. The hitbox of baby forms would probably be too different to even consider adding them as skins.

Was playing Rayman Legends (with the Mario costume) and at times he really felt like he belonged in Smash Bros, but unfortunately the guest characters may have been already all filled in.

There definitely needs to be some Xenoblade representation in SSB. Shulk is probably who it would have to be as the main protagonist, but I could see someone like Melia having the potential for a more interesting play style than another sword-wielder.

Fire Emblem overload

Lucina confirmed, custom fire emblem awakening character (robin for both Male/female) confirmed, Captain falcon confirmed, Crom... sorta confirmed? (Not sure about crom but it seems like he's in too. Basically Nintendo are riding that Fire Emblem's popularity hard.

Im waiting for the site to be updated but if Crom is a stand alone character along with Lucina then we have too many FE characters in the game and WAY too many "sword" users. If Crom/Lucina are the male/female versions much like Robin then ill be fine with it. But with Ike and Marth already in the game we now have 4 characters are going to play pretty much the same way. At least robin is a magic user, the other 4 are sword users, they better be drastically different.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
