I have an EKJE830342 Pokemon X cartridge, but when plugged in, the tabs just load and
then the program jumps back to "no hardware found."
I tried a little bit of water on a cotton swab to no avail.

Any ideas?

My EKJE830342 Pokemon Y cartridge works if that information is of any use.

Is it possible to get codes to find the forbidden 3 in the wild?

Also Lati@s stones in the bag too?

Yes I did order this device two days ago, should be arriving sometime next week.

Yes, it seems weird, but I licked the prongs on my cartridge, then it started working no problem.

They can. Whether they screw up or not is a different thing.
If I make a backup of my gamesave there would be 0 risk involved. Do you guys think they would take kindly to code requests? I'm willing to email them if theres a chance they will create such a code.

You are a miracle worker! It's working now. I vouch for his technique! :yaynds:

I second this. As strange and unbelievable as it sounds, it worked for me as well. Y had no problems but X had the issue others had. I didn't believe it either but tried it anyway. Very weird.

I'm quite surprised I've been the only one so far in this entire topic that has asked about the forbidden 3 Pokemon (and EvilMakiPR.) I'm gonna email datel today about requesting for a code and report back about the response, I can't possibly be the only one interested in these Pokemon, just no way.

Anyone checking where the item code saves in the save data? Switch one Megastone with another to get the value. (I don't have any money to buy Powesaves currently).

Saves are encrypted, and saves have checksums too. Unless you do a lot of file compares and find some sort of exploitable correlation, you're going to get nowhere.

I thought PS4/5 and Xbox One emulation would be kind of easy since they basically just a PC
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    they sorta are a pc
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
but its a custom os for both of them
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think

It's a locked down Linux distro basically
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc

Damn Frontier is offering 5Gbps now lol

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
nintendo needs to up their game soon
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah even bt support for Xbox one controllers are just as easy as pairing
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
considering the steamdeck can emulate the switch (yikes) theres almost 0 reason to buy the switch apart from playing online and using cartridges

Xinput and 360 dongles were a driver nightmare
