Hi,

I have 5 R4-SDHC cards which i bought from www.r4isdhc.com which is the "white card" with dual core with smart update seeing as we have 5 Nintendo DS Lite consoles

Yesterday i downloaded and updated the firmware to V6.20 and the Kernelware to 1.62 to one(1) of the R4 cards and inserted it into 3 of the consoles and did a firmware update with the 1 card on all 3 consoles

After that it changed my display on the console as well as what the 1 card looks like
Before the "update" it said "Konami Digital Entertainment" and afterwards it said "Spongebob's Atlantis Sqaurepantis THQ"

My problem is:
The 1 R4 card i used to update the 3 consoles with works perfectly in each of the 3 BUT if i put in the other R4 cards it "reads" the cards BUT as soon as i press on it to load the card with the firmware/kernelware that is exactly the same it goes over to a "white screen"

What do i need to do to make the other cards works
How do i update the firmware/kernelware on the other R4 cards

It might be a problem with either your kernel or your microSD card. So I suggest backing up your card and reformatting with this program
http://filetrip.net/nds-downloads/utilities/download-panasonic-sd-formatter-31-windows-f27344.html
using these settings
FORMAT TYPE : FULL (OverWrite)
FORMAT SIZE ADJUSTMENT : ON

I also suggest using Retro's files
http://gbatemp.net/threads/retrogamefan-updates-releases.267243/
for your kernel

I am currently using the formatter as suggested by you

1) have downloaded and followed instructions but still getting the "white screen"

Any other suggestions

Do you have any other MicroSD cards to test?

Yes,

I have tried about 3 other sd cards and all come back with the same result

The problem must be the R4 card because when i used the 1 card to upgrade it changed from "Konami Digital Entertainment" to "Spongebob's Atlantis Sqaurepantis THQ"

My other R4 cards are still on "Konami Digital Entertainment"

Thats when i get the "white screen"

How do i upgrade the R4 cards

Do you have another flashcard? You can run the upgrade program through one card on a DS (Phat or Lite, not DSi) and swap out the card for the troubled card.

I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
