No hacks are currently available and thus you cannot install them. :P

According to Wololo.net, you can safetly update to 2.02. Follow that site - from time to time, hackers release titles of PSP games you can download from PSN that are exploitable. It's literally a time attack, but if you manage to get a copy before the game's pulled off PSN, you can swap its save file and use it to launch eCFW, which gives you full access to the PSP sandbox, meaning, you can launch PSP ISO's and homebrew. Other than that, there are no exploits for the system. There is a promise of UVLoader - a User-Mode loader for PSVita Mode, but it's still a Work-in-Progress and nobody knows when it will be officially released.

In any case, that about covers it.

Thanks, that was very informative for me as well. You summarized it well.

how many points does a game usually cost?

: what is the user mode loader? does it also require a game exploit?
Pretty much all PSVita exploit games have been minis, which don't cost that much. Probably less than $5 or something. The PSN vouchers are for either $20 or $50 (at least those are the ones here, but with € instead of $). So all in all, you should be ready to go with just a basic $20 card.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know which game(s) are exploitable at the moment? I've got a fully updated Vita and would be interested in running PSP ISOs using the described method.

Just bought the game and downloading it now.

I shouldn't have to worry about being banned from PSN for this, right? I've spent way too much on legit Vita games that I don't want to risk it. Theoretically they'd have no way to tell if I just edit files in a PSP game as long as I don't go online with it?

I don't think there is much risk of getting banned. If your that worried about it though just turn your wifi off.

By the way, the psp ecfw has been released for the UNO exploit: http://wololo.net/2013/01/01/releas...are-2-02-with-the-uno-exploit-by-frostegater/
