But you did not mention that a week is a good amount of time to wait. Honestly if they weren't every active to begin with, a week isn't a good amount of time to wait for them.

How long would you wait? I'm willing to bet that they're notified about blog posts via e-mail, better yet, e-mail them directly. If they won't check the post within a week's time, it's their fault. Besides, they still have their rights for the patch reserved and they can take it off if they feel like it, what's more to ask for?

I think the deal is fair, but if you think it isn't then let's say "a month".

I have waited over a month to hear back from several indie game developers to upload their files because they requested to be emailed before mirroring their work.
Respect is one of the most important things to me and distributing someone's work like this is not showing them nor their work respect.

People should try to contact [m]psycoblaster[/m] in every way they can (through GBAtemp, the ASH project blog, IMs, emails, etc., whatever contact methods psycoblaster has provided). But do NOT spam him (her?) with the same message multiple times. Please be respectful, tactful and just alert psycoblaster to the situation. This should be a concerted effort.

I'd suggest writing the following in the subject line:

PERMISSION TO DISTRIBUTE ASH TRANSLATION?

And in the message, write whatever you want, but provide a link to this topic somewhere in the message. I'm hoping that if psycoblaster receives enough of the same message, it will be difficult to ignore the request (assuming psycoblaster checks messages anymore).

Incidentally, it should be noted that if psycho didn't release the patch in the first place then that can be seen as them not wanting it distributed.
That, and the whole "do not distribute if you're a beta tester" thing.

So permission was already denied.
If you contact psycho and get no response the fall back to the latest stance on the issue...which is do not distribute.
