finally after geting over the "videos not showing" problem. now i get not supported ):
anyone wants to help?
OK, this is a rare bug i encountered only once. Are you sure you have the newest Version of this converter?
What did you try to convert? 2D or 3D video? Have you simply tried reconverting the video?
Did you tried another Video?

what type of 3DS video does the 3DS take ? Side by side image ?
If you mean what the 3DS takes: Two Videos in merged into one Stream, kinda...
If you mean what this converter accepts: 2D, Side by Side, Top Down and Splitted Files

well i converted a 2d video into a 3d using arcsoft media converter 7.5 ( i have the serial btw so if anyone need it i'll just give it to u cuz i ant no greedy dude) and i chose side by side then i converted it with the 3ds converter.
i always get a none supported video( sometimes it just doesnt shows)

oh i manged to convert it but it was a serios epic fail cuz the 3d was just wrong( the bottom of the video was in full eye hurting 3d that pops out really tooo well and the upper side it was head aching deep 3d..
i did this by converting a normal 2d vid with the 3ds converter then converting it again with arcsoft media converter to side by side AND THEN AGAIN into the 3ds converter.
at first i was ZOMG IT WORKED..........wtf :wtf: MY EYES @_____@

Is the Input Video 3D? When yes, the 4th button should work if you revonvert it with my converter afterwards.
BTW: Why are you trying to convert it into DPG? This is an for the old DS-Homebrew "Moonshell" only.

Side by Side will only work when reconverting it with my converter afterwards, because the 3DS doesn't accept Side by Side.

None of this buttons will work because the 3DS uses a very special 3D-System (you can see what I mean when you try to play a 3D Video captured or converted on Windows with a good Media Player like MPC)

@Valwin: The 10 Minute Limit isn't made by me, it's because Nintendo doesn't allow to playback files longer than 10 Minutes.
If youre trying to convert Videos with Xilisoft: I tried it by myself and failed because the right Video Codec was missing.

But if you want to try, here are the infos taken from the nice tool MediaInfo:

Hey, sorry to bother but ive had this problem (only recently) where when i convert movies from 3D SBS to 3DS format the first video part doesnt show up on my DS. Has only started happening recently but its consistent now. Is this a problem with the movie file, the converter (which i still love cause i just watch the first part on my computer), my sd card or my ds?

Some questions,
1 How can i set it up so it will split a long video in 10min parts?
2 The quality is maxed on the right or on the left?
3 I don't how the mark with the digits about split videos work
Can someone explain please?

By myself mostly I work with 2D Videos, so there could be bugs in the 3D conversion. (I think that I've forgotten to sync Video and Audio in 3D-Mode). I will look this error up, and either release a new Version or if theres no error, I will ask a few questions about your video by then.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

Edit: Oh, i reinstalled Windows and i need to download Visual Studio again. This will need time. (Only have DSL-3000 Connection)

1: This Converter automatically splits the video into 10 min Parts :yay:
2: Maxed Quality is on the Left, but the Filesize will be like 600MB per 10 minutes
3: Don't care about this unless you know what youre doing, the number will increase automatically with each Part and Video (This gives each Video a unique number)

I like the converter, but I've got a little feature request that should make it a lot easier to use. When converting a video, it makes a thumbnail but you can't easily tell which part of the film you are watching, it would be nice if frame 1 was the as text (possibly superimposed over the image, although that isn't necessary).

I also had another idea, where the slider for quality would show estimated file size, so if you are converting a 45 minute show, it would take approximately 500MB for example since it is easy to see how much space you have free on the SD card.

Thanks Neil

Found the bug and uploaded a new Beta Version to FileTrip HERE. It would be nice if you test it out, since I have no Videos where the Bug occurs and then post your results. When there are Errors it posting MediaInfos Output from the first part would be helpful.

OK, thanks for the feedback.
For your first Idea:
I really like your Idea and know the Chaos when having many Videos on your 3DS. Your Solution to this is really good, but it will be hard for me to implement it. (I'm not saying I will not add this, it will just take time)
For your second idea:
Yeah, this will be rather easy to implement and nice for all the users with a 2GB-SD (I don't care about this since I buyes a 32GB-SD. :yaynds:
I think a simple version of this feature will be in 2.3 and fully implemented in 2.4 (alongside with a better Progress-Bar)

Good and bad news about the new beta. On 3 separate tests (2 3D feature films and 1 2D film) the initial problem of the first vidoe portion not showing up has been fixed but it has led to problems such as the problem with the video quality. On all 3 tests the video quality on the highest setting has been the same as the lowest setting (both settings giving heavily pixelated movie files, almost un-watchable) probably just a minor error? Also on one of my 3D tests i received errors on the DS saying the video format wasn't compatible for 3 out of the 9 video parts. Hopefully this feedback will help.

Oops, seems like I've made a mistake with placing the Quality parameter, new Beta will be out soon.
Edit: And HERE it is. (Hopefully without bugs this time)

Hey guys, was just wondering how to get this to work? I have a side-by-side video (from youtube and another mkv downloaded) but when I convert it (selecting side-by-side), it seems to remain side by side which doesnt work on the 3DS.... Ideas?

Edit: I see the left.avi has pretty much the full video (side by side) + audio whilst the right one has nothing if that helps..

Which Version did you used?
And did you selected Side-By-Side in the options before dragging the Video onto the Converter?
Looks like you clicked on "Seperate" for me.
So far all Youtube Videos I converted worked for me.
