I did not meant they were going to add more cameras and make the screen bigger although they could. I mean a 3DS lite could be like a macbook air, but I just mean it's going to be better the second time around.

Did you own Rugrats in Paris and Pokemon Crystal, just to name a few. They couldn't be played on normal GB and GB Pocket. Thus new cartridge design new console,

No, GBC is considered fifth generation. GB is fourth generation. It is not as simple as hardware upgrade. GBC game cannot be played on GB.

Here's my two cents. To begin with. THQ has some of my favorite games, Age of Empires & Mythologies, Shadow of Templar etc.. but there is a ton of shovel I agree. I wouldn;t callthem the worst company out there.

That being said,

I refuse to believe, and never will believe that piracy has done more damage to publishers/writers/ makers, than RESALE OF USED GAMES. Do the math, each used game gets sold several times, up to 12 times for the cheese-iest title out there according to one source, and that seems a low ball figure. That means that for every one game sold, they lose 11. Even though Youtube will showq you children under 7 using a hack for the various hardware, there still can not be as many hackers has there are people buying from Gamestop (and others like them.) So again I say Resold games (which prevent new games from being sold by thier mere availability) cause more lose to these game designers than piracy ever could.

I personally make it a point of buying ever single game that I have used on a cart (and kept) so that the company gets the money and I send the messege that game type X is in demand. Otherwise they might not realize it and stop trying to make my personal favorites. I'm doing this so as to NOT shoot myself in the foot. I have a h-u-g-e collection at this point and don;t intendo on sellling them at any point. I
ll be playing for years on this console alone...

Furthermore, Anti Piracy is just another form of a lock. The one person in history who knew more about locks than any other was Harry Houdini. I'm not talking out of the side of my neck here, I know older people who were alive (although young )when he was still alive. He also was a member of the S.A.M, but that's another story, He KNEW that and publiclly stated that there is now and never will be a lock that can hold one determined and motivated enough. Locks were designed for... wait for it... HONEST PEOPLE, not pirates.

Look if Captain Crunch (of hacking fame) could hack IBM by stealing volumes of written material right from under thier noses and in thier building, than someone will eventually leak the AP specs and that wil be the end of that. But thier repeated availability of an update via street pass is a strong guard at the proverbial doors, meaning even once hacked they can again, change it as they have been doing with firmware for months now

ANYWAY, I still support the designers/coders/publishers with cash but if the prize is right, that hack WILL happen, in due time..

there is definitely going to be another iteration of the 3ds ,maybe 2 even ,atleast,
and they should add another camera to it, they should have have 2 in facing cameras for a 3d video chat application and also add a 2nd analog stick to the next one, and also move the location of the poorly placed headphone jack

and piracy has been around since the beginning of time ,it has not killed the industry and it was here since atari, and the nes , anyone hear of or remember the famicom disc system? nintendo had kiosks in stores in japan where you could take you fds games and rewrite new games to them with the kiosk systems if you wanted to, everyone was doing it and ninty didnt really care ,i have heard that if buy those games used today you have a slim chance of getting game that is printed on the sticker on the dis ,on the disc ,cause they have all been rewritten ,it didnt hurt nintendo,there still here

and seriously i dont many people with a ds but the ones i do know not only dont have flashcards,but have never heard of them ,most kids have no clue, and even some ive told about it did not run out and buy one ,face it people , people who hack and pirate on game consoles are a small trivial few and always will be , i was the only one i knew to have a gamedoctor for my snes too ,and this was before the internet and i had heard about them once from someone and i was skeptical that it even existed, i even forget where i found out where to order mine from

seriously people the xbox and the 360 have been hacked for a long time ,and so is ps3 , and you can hack those for free at soem point without having to buy any hardware,not so much anymore but still, you dont see it hurting those systems, face it every system was able to play pirated games ,it has nothing to do with shovelware, hell the american nes was about the least piracy enabled system and yet there are plenty of crap titles for it too , the reason for the shovelware is that the userbase for the ds consists mainly of kids , and the lazy douche bad fly by night developers that make this garbage know they can make money,plain and simple, they prey on unsuspecting parents and rely on the the nag factor for their existence

Where I live DS games are about $70 (that's DS not 3DS) and that's $54 USD (Even many second hand ds games are that price).
3DS games are normally about $90 and that's $70 USD.

Now let's compare to another system that has a lot of piracy PC.
PC has way more games, bigger games and better games but it isn't portable.
A brand new pc game (we'll use Skyrim for an example) costs $108 and is massive and has heeeeaps to do (that's $83 USD)

I'm not sure how Nintendo justifies charging that much and with the current economic downturn it's a tad rough to expect people to pay that much per game on top of $328 for the console ($253 USD). This is why I personally picked up a flash cart for my DSL. I bought plenty of games (mostly second hand) before I got this cart and still buy the odd game (like SS) but it's too expensive.

Still, I want a 3DS, but now I'm a uni student and am about to be very broke. I'm hoping that eventually there'll be a proper flashcart for 3DS since there's already carts that are able to run ds roms on the 3DS (R4iGold3D) but I'm keeping my DSL so that's not important just now.

Either bring down prices or make more excellent games (again I'm picky like many flashcart owners) that are worth paying the extra bucks for.

But ultimately I agree with what numerous people have said "If it's made by humans [or even I would guess machines made by humans] then it can be cracked [or worked around] by humans". I shall watch with interest and cross my fingers for a real 3DS flashcart in the next few years (though there may or may not be one in the works now).
