Lack of Samus makes baby fanboy Jesus cry.

I mean cmon, 3 forms of Link? Diddy Kong, but no Donkey Kong? The cover art also seems a bit misleading. Plenty of characters pictured that aren't on the roster. I looked through the blog in case they might be 'planned', but saw nothing suggesting that...

EDIT: The control scheme also felt very awkward. I've never liked 'up' being jump in Smash games. I'd much prefer if 'special attack' were moved to Y, 'final smash' moved to X, and B made into a 'jump' button, while removing the up acting as jump. It also seems there is no way to use your standing upward-tilt + A attack without jumping, then landing while still holding up, THEN pressing the attack button. The mid-air directional influence seems to be on the weak side. Shield should be able to be activated while moving, or you should add a roll/dodge move. The white flash at the start of each match also seems unneeded. Complete lack of running was also a pretty big put-off. No Smash attacks either? When facing the Kirby Team in classic mode, their graphics don't appear for the team on the vs screen. The shield seems to vanish way too quickly, and there should be some sort of penalty for having your shield broken. The credits also drag on for WAY too long, there is no way to skip them or speed it up, and while you can shoot, and you can't AIM at anything. The white flash and pause every time a Crash Shadow is KO'd is extremely obnoxious, and has frozen the game several times. Why can't Megaman charge the his buster?

Also noticed several text errors in a few areas that caught my eye, aside from the font not being very visually pleasing.
Character Menu:
"Capitan Falcon" ---> "Captain Falcon" (I know "Capitan" is accepted around Europe, but everything else seems to conform to American english)
"ToonLink" ---> "Toon Link"
Rules Menu:
"Demage Ratio" ---> "Damage Ratio"
"SmashBall Frecuency" ---> "SmashBall Frequency" (Also, the "Never" option overruns the border. "Off" might work instead?)
Classic mode results screen:
"% Demage" ---> "% Damage"
"No recived KO Bunus:" ---> "No received KO bonus:" (it was called "No Fall Bonus" in the real games, which makes more sense and fits better)
Allstar mode:
"Left Characters" ---> "Remaining Characters/Opponents" or "Characters/Opponents Left" would make more grammatical sense.
Configuration menu:
"Lenguaje" ---> "Language"
Select Mode menu:
"Vault:Unlocked/Editor" ---> "Vault: Unlocked" (I see no editor...)
Solo menu:
"Classic mode" ---> Classic Mode"
"AllStars Mode" ---> "All-Star Mode"
Classic Mode:
"Platfrom Test (10)" ---> "Platform Test (10)"
Master Pieces menu: "Master Pieces" ---> "Masterpieces"
"Nintendo Entretainament System" ---> "Nintendo Entertainment System"
Mega Man 1 was released in 1987
Mega Man 2 was released in 1988 in Japan, 1989 in the US
Mega Man 3 was released in 1990
"Kirby Adventure" ---> "Kirby's Adventure", released in 1993
"Bubble Double" ---> "Bubble Bobble", first released in 1986
"Bumberman" ---> "Bomberman", first released in 1983
Arkanoid was first released in 1986
Adventure Island was first released in 1988 in the US
"Snow bros" ---> "Snow Bros", released in 1991
(Why are Snow Bros, Pacman, Bubble Bobble, Bomberman, Arkanoid, or Adventure Island included? None of the characters or stages are in the game. And why are other unrelated homebrews and apps included? All they do is inclease the size of the file...)

I know this seems pretty critical, but it's just because I'm a pretty big Smash fan, and have high standards for a game claiming the same name. I point them out hoping to help you find the problems and improve your game. After all of that, I still think this has the potential to be something really big.

I don't know about you guys, but the kicker for me (besides it doesn't work on my dstwo/class2) is throwing in all those random anime characters just because...they're from anime. Especially because they're not even the main characters. From one piece, Sanji but not Luffy? From Naruto, Sasuke but NOT THE GUY THE GODDAMN SHOW IS NAMED AFTER? They just don't fit in with the others for me. Leave em for Jump Ultimate stars I say.

One major problem I found with this homebrew that, sad to say, is gonna get it kicked off of GBAtemp.

It has old ROMs in it. Ones that are still under copyright.

It's under Vault > Masterpieces...

Yeah..

And still using the old no-fds-no-dpcm NESDS too.

No clue why they still do that, but it should be easy to remove for a "temp edition" entry.

It just needs consistent graphics and Utsuho from Touhou 11 (or 12.3) as a playable character. Overpowered.

...that's not even a mainstream anime...

don't count in it.

As for consistent graphics, it's using sprites from many different games. Don't count on that either.

Edit: ah its a top down shooter?

custom sprites would have to be made.

Where to download? This IS a homebrew game, right? Or does GBAtemp not allow copyrighted characters and names used in homebrew to be linked to as well?
it looks like he uses or borrows part of a copyrighted rom so he can't link to it until it is removed

Apparently it has NES ROMs built-in. And ROMs of any kind is a no-no on GBAtemp.

Um, Touhou's a popular Bullet Hell game...

Also, he re-upped the download without the Masterpieces.

Maybe we could request a version via email for the version with the masterpieces. And, is it possible to change controls? I can't use L+R+Start because my shoulder buttons don't work.

Seeing another Super Smash Bros. game for the DS got my hopes up. Too bad it didn't last for too long. The creator probably wanted quantity over quality. Let's see...
First of all, what is the point of putting in things that you can not use? I was hoping to play some Adventure mode when I realized it's not functional. I couldn't play Classic mode for some reason...
Second of all, geez, is it possible not to have anime in something? It's like a disease! Anime here, manga there...Super Smash Bros. was supposed to be just a fighting game with Nintendo characters!
Not like that all matters. All that matters is the gameplay. And that, my dear everyone, in my opinion is horrible. Where is all the fast-paced action? Why do all the characters just have 2 special attacks? It feels like no character is unique! And why does a single attack stun me for a second? That's just too long! And where is all the knocking out from stages thing? If someone managed to make me go flying, I never fell into a pit. I usually died because I was sliding on the floor from an attack! I got lost in my own post. How odd is that? It wouldn't exactly be a bad game, but the engine just does not work for a SSB game.

In short (Or for people who don't want to read long posts):
No character is unique, it's just not like a SSB game and why the heck are anime and manga characters there?

you're right, it's bad compared to a Original Smash Bros
