Compulsive buying

Lately I've been having a problem with buying too much stuff. It's really become an issue since my job doesn't exactly pay me all that much. I've bought a 3DS and a ton of video games over the last week, but since I go to school full time and work I don't even have time to play them much. :<

I should probably remove my debit card from my Amazon account, cause it just makes it easier to buy more random crap that I don't need. I'd probably end up spending less if I had to go find my wallet and type stuff in every time I wanted to make a purchase.

The other night I spent over three hours online looking for a reasonably priced jirachi phone charm (I have a thing for phone charms, and jirachi is my favorite pokémon). Most everywhere I looked was sold out of them or didn't have any to begin with. I ended up having to buy a series set of 7, when I didn't even want any of the other ones for $40 + shipping. I'm hoping to sell off the rest of them to make back what I lost. I felt pretty stupid paying so much when I only wanted one of them, but I realllllly wanted it. :<

Anyway, I'm super excited for Resident Evil: Revelations and the Fatal Frame spinoff game, Spirit Camera! I have both of those preordered and paid off already. There's less than a week left for RE, but I have to wait until April to pick up SC.

If anyone wants to add my 3DS friend code, it's 2062-9888-2398. Send me a PM or something with yours so I can add you back! I don't have many friends on it so I'm looking for more. Plus I'll send you badly drawn pictures on Swapnote! (:

I have the exact same problem, except it's ebay and my paypal balance/credit card. I buy and sell random things I find at yard sales, or elsewhere and turn a profit with them.

I just bought a pre-order of Tales of the Abyss. (I can't wait to play it, although.)

Solution: be poor. Solution two is to cash most of your check and to only deposit say, $30 to $50 per check. If you don't have a lot to work with online, you won't spend a lot whilst online. It kills motivation to buy that much more when you actually have to journey out and purchase it.

I knew there was something I was forgetting to put an order on! ;___;

That's true, but since I live near the mall of america I just end up going there. x.x But seeing how much money I've wasted on Amazon alone, I'll have to start doing this. Thank you. :3

Haha, that might make things a bit more difficult. I'm sure with spending less on Amazon though, you'll do better financially in the long run. Really, the key to good money management is a little bit of self control. It can go an astoundingly long way.

You're welcome. :3
