It still has a strong following, but it's been dying down in the past few years. iOS 17.0 is the last version of iOS we've had an exploit for. -

@DTApple, Many iOS jailbreaks tend to be pretty unstable imo, but much more user friendly to install than anything aside from Android. With Android, this involves unlocking the bootloader, flash TWRP recovery, copying the ROM you want to flash onto your phone and then installing it.+1 -

But before all of that, you have to scower through forums like XDA to find your specific model, and even then you may or may not find a custom ROM for it. Unless it was over a decade or so old.
