Hacking Possible Reason for our Errors

I'm not sure about this for everyone else, but when I updated to the new cIOS today, it set my Wii's clock to September 1st of last year.
I'm thinking this could be an error with some games.

Did anyone else get this same error? AND have their Wii clock set back?

First of all, neither a clock nor calender has anything to with reading games. How you even came to that is beyond me.

Second, my clock is just fine.

On the Xbox 1, if you left your Xbox unplugged for a long time, it would set the clock waaay back. In a soft modded Xbox, some games wouldn't load if the clock wasn't set properly, or at least to a time after the game was made. IE: You couldn't load a game that was released in 2005 if your clock said 2000. That MIGHT be how houseonfire "came to that".

Ah, thats weird. But I can assure, the clock is not the fault of the disc read errors. Atleast mine isn't.
