I don't know why but for me it's worse. I keep changing the camera in the wrong directions. But it could also be just me. And yeah it's still the step camera system so no fluent camera. So it's pretty much the same. Except it's on a joystick now and needs to be inverted (again for me personally)

I don't think they've changed anything about how the camera works other than reversing the axes. Better for some people, worse for others (I hate what they've done to the camera/aiming controls, especially in Sunshine). I don't understand why they'd go in and change that without a simple option in the Minus (emulator) menu.

NX version features fixed angles (old camera) + a free camera similar to Puppycam (it doesn't feel like the original PuppyCam tho).

Imo Super Mario 64 still works way better with the original fixed-angles camera. Which supports the theory that Super Mario 64 is the best game of all time.

i played a bit the SM64.
As far as i remember, they didn' t change anything. I think that's it's the habit that changed in years.
In many old games like SM64, you move the camera so hitting left moves the cam to the left so you look toward the right.
Nowadays, you rather control the way you'll aim, so hitting left will make you look toward the left.

It's my 2 cents thought.

The camera still seems the same to me maybe a little worse but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the hell out of it

I just finished the game with the full 120 stars and you'll get used to it. At least I did. At the first Bowser stage I died to often because of the camera. But after that I got used to it.

To be honest every game in this collection is to janky for my taste. this is not what i expected from a official remaster.

After seeing the comparisons, it's true it's a HD Remaster, but not what it truly should have been.

Wow. That made me think not to buy this game at all. I will be fine with those games on emulators instead. Save my money.

Get the v8 unofficial port. It has free camera on the right analog stick.

Unfortunately no rumble though.
