Gaming Local multiplayer. 2nd cartridge required?

It is also interesting that only a single game module (SIC: cart) is required for local games. Up to eight players can then participate in their consoles without each having to purchase their own version.

While "confirmed" by a NIntendo German rep, we still have no direct/official statement from Nintendo.

If it pans out this a major feature for anyone but especially families with kids. This one feature would make the difference between buying one as primarily a home console and 2 for use as portables on road trips which we take frequently.

Reggie addressed Local Multiplayer with one cartridge in a GameSpot interview, and basically said that it came down to the developer.



Nintendo actually supporting the developers with this is as vague as ever though
