Hacking Layton games 3ds

Just wondering if anyone can fill me in on why the EU versions of the Layton games on the 3ds aren't dumped? Cant think of a specific reason as they are v-popular.

Have you tried searching for an UK version instead of a general EU release? Usually Layton games come in like 6 different language versions for the EU.

maybe the scene doesn't fill requests and they only buy and dump games they like?

i have a game that is not dumped yet, soon gateway will let us dump it ourselves. or, theoretically, it could be dumped without needing the gateway card, just a ds mode card, but gateway will probably make it that you need to use the red card so that you have to buy it, right? ha

yep, i've seen french, german, italian and spanish but no english. Left behind for once! thanks though.

With the new Gateway Emunand you can now launch retail games.

good news, i have a friend that has copies of both retail games so we'll see what Gateway does in the future re dumping again. ta

no i mean, using just the ds profile exploit, we should have the ability to dump 3ds games if someone released it.
gateway have said they will let us dump 3ds games, but i doubt they would want to let us do it without needing the red card, since they want money.
at the moment we can backup and even use emunand without ever using the gateway (or clone) 'red' card. only a ds flashcard is needed.
do you agree with this?

i think a public dumper would be a right pain tho, specially if it doesn't work right or is buggy, we would have bad dumps everywhere and would become a mess

no idea how you would dump and use a Gateway Red card, there only is 1 card slot and you cant hotswap on a 3DS

true, but then gateway doesn't want to release tools for everyone to use... they want to release them for their hardware... well, regardless, i hope we don't need gateway to do it
because, it must be possible to 'mount' a romon the 3ds sd card to be played via the profile exploit, without ever needing a red card, but gateway wouldn't code us that...

and well, for ds there are public dumpers, but we still 'rely' on scene dumps, so i wouldn't worry about that

Question: Is The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time 3D Demo eShop only? Just saw a release of it and first eShop only release if its eShop

Not what he meant. He's saying one might only need a DS Mode flashcard to install the Gateway hack and then use that to dump 3DS cartridges without the need of an actual Gateway card.
Much like how one can use Gateway's emuNAND feature with only a DS Mode flashcard, without having to use a Gateway card.

no theres a cartridge of it too, you can find Demo carts on ebay normally that have wandered from shops
