*=* Error On Switch OLED! (Can't find much info about it)

If it never worked, it could be a simple mixup of dat/cmd/clk cables. If it however did boot at some point, it must be something else. I've gotten this error a few times when the reball didn't connect all dat points properly. My best guess is that there is flux or residue from the dat0 adapter...

Hacking Hardware Error 2002-3539 when attempting to boot into OFW from Hekate. Switch boots into OFW when Picofly not connected.

this happens because your modchip is garbage and causes too much interference on the dat0 line. get another one.

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

The picofly has absolutely zero knowledge of the state of the volume buttons. Those are checked by the boot0 payload that picofly writes into the emmc, which happens after the glitch has already succeeded. It's more likely that your squeezing of the switch to hold the volume buttons down are...

Switch wont turn on after downgrading

I had a downgraded v1 once that was unable to boot or enter RCM. The only solution I could find that worked was to install a modchip.

    Replacing apu is posible?

no, not without also replacing the emmc since the encryption key is hardcoded in the cpu bootrom

    Nintendo Switch: MIG Switch

It needs a few additional files together with the xci, so just an xci dump won't work. If you play any pirated game with it you will be banned and cannot download updates/dlc's at all. You can install updates by using "version matching" with another switch.

How do I fix the bga?

this was a rather expensive soldering practice board, wasn't it

Can I lift the emmc without reballing it

it's possible if you manage to lift it perfectly straight up so that no solder points have a chance to mix. the chance of success is low though, so you should probably expect to have to reball it anyway.

Hacking Hardware Controllers either have a lot of latency or disconnect on modded switch OLED

I would suggest standing near a wifi router/access point and check the signal strength on the switch. If it's not full, the antennas are probably not connected.

Hacking Hardware Controllers either have a lot of latency or disconnect on modded switch OLED

did you forget to reattach the antenna wires when reassembling the switch, perhaps?

Will the Switch 2 be Nintendo's first unhackable console?

The keys required to sign software and games (making them look like they were made/approved by Nintendo) are still unbroken and remain a secret deep within the Nintendo vault. However, several ways were discovered to circumvent the need for those keys and patch out all the signature checks.

Switch 2: data gathering for possible modchip attack vectors

Even if unsigned code execution is figured out early, looking at the history of the switch 1, it will still take at least 2 years before the software becomes usable enough for anyone except developers and some extremists on this forum. I would say this is a non-issue.

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

in this forum, yes. In the picofly thread, no. If you have picofly problems you can post in this thread. For other problems, find a suitable thread or make your own.

Switch 2: data gathering for possible modchip attack vectors

Hi all, since a repeat of the Nvidia RCM blunder from the switch v1 is extremely unlikely, any permanent unsigned code execution on the Switch 2 is very likely to happen through some sort of modchip, if at all. We can assume that the private keys required to create signed blobs of code will...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I've had similar problems with my preassembled tinyflys. about 1 in every 10 chips have behaved like this for me. My guess is that the problem is that the batch of rp2040's they have in stock at JLCPCB isn't very good, so they can't handle being overclocked to 200mhz and sometimes immediately...

Hacking Switch Informations by serial number - READ THE FIRST POST before asking questions

yes it is. Mariko is the code name for the CPU, same as in the v2. You're thinking of Aula, which is the code name for the entire system of the OLED, not the CPU. The corresponding code name for the v2 system is Iowa. See https://wiki.hacks.guide/wiki/Nintendo_Switch

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

What I do is simply push the tip of my tweezer down into the "hole" in the middle of the connector and then pull it out with the downward and backward force from the tweezer. Takes 1 second
