Hacking Trying to make the Supercard suck less in 2022...

Agreed with the consensus that it's probably a faulty flash chip. I can't believe the Supercard is still being sold. It was never a good option, and that's coming from someone who was formerly part of the SCDev forum back when it existed.

Hacking Guide - How to convert YouTube videos to Game Boy Advance ROM files

This may or may not help. Back in the days of METEO, I used computer programs like AllToAVI and SUPER (C) to transcode my videos into short segments that could be converted to GBA format. It was a weird time. I remember there was something called the "K-Lite Codec Pack" that claimed to install...

Misc Youtube NDS ROM that runs on an R4

I don't believe so. The last one required the author to host a server to process some things, and that server was shut down.

Best Super Mario Bros 1 and Super Mario World romhacks?

I've got one of each. If anyone is interested, I'll find and upload the actual *.ips patch files you use to turn SMB1 and SMW into the following two videos, respectively.

PassMe to remove Health and Safety Warning?

That's awesome, glad to hear. Installing FlashMe is so easy that it's weird to see the first few pages of this thread full of people adamantly telling you it's not worth the risk. What risk? Connect two contacts for a few seconds while it writes the emergency recovery code, continue holding...

    Vanced Alternative?

The fork of NewPipe for NewPipe + SponsorBlock is my current replacement. It doesn't sign into my Google account so it's not the same as Vanced, but it suffices. https://github.com/gilbsgilbs/NewPipeSponsorBlock

    DS Lite Bottom screen scratches

As soon as I started playing Elite Beat Agents, I started investing in DS bottom screen protectors, for this exact reason. Don't know where you'd find them nowadays though.

PassMe to remove Health and Safety Warning?

I'm always a huge fan of installing FlashMe to get rid of the Health & Safety warning screen, as well as allowing me to boot my slot-2 Supercard in DS mode without needing the slot-1 Superkey each time. I flashed a few friends' DS systems back in high school.

Supercard mini sd rumble not showing anything

You need to boot it in DS mode for it to be useful. If your DS does not have FlashMe installed, that means you'll need some sort of slot-1 passthrough device so that it boots in DS mode, not GBA mode. It should only display *.nds files in the list, not GBA or GB or GBC or NES. Those NDS files...

Feedback What are the barriers to producing a GB/C Hypervisor on GBA?

Yeah, the voltage difference is a pretty big issue, hard to bypass that. The GBC crasher program from Dwedit's forum (which Kwyjor already linked) didn't end up going anywhere useful. As far as audio goes, Goomba and Goomba Color already do this. They don't bother emulating the audio and sound...

How do i homebrew a GBA?

The only thing you can do without a flash cart, if you have the right cable, is send over Multiboot files: https://web.archive.org/web/20090528045656/http://wiki.pocketheaven.com:80/Multiboot

Convert gb and gbc to gba to use thumbnails in EZ FLASH??

Regarding Goomba Front, it's an extremely simple program. It basically just forms a command and runs it: "copy /b goomba.gba + Game1.gb + Game2.gb + ... + GameX.gb OutputFile.gba" So it will work fine with Goomba Color, by simply replacing the emulator core "goomba.gba" file that it's using...

How do i homebrew a GBA?

This is slightly related. I may or may not have just indirectly alerted Tepples that GBATemp here exists and the GBA homebrew scene is still alive and well, with old PocketHeaven folks appearing and continuing projects. You might remember Tepples as being the coder behind GBFS, GSM Player...

Dreamcast via VGA on modern television set?

This may or may not help. Probably not, due to the DAC issues mentioned earlier, but I'll post it anyway. Over 10 years ago I bought a set of portable battery-powered speakers, the X-Mini II system. The supplied cable had male Aux on one end to plug into your audio source, and two male mini-USB...

I want to make recent apps smaller

IF you have a recent Samsung phone, you can install Good Lock and from there, and in the "Home Up" module, change the layout in the Task Changer" section. There's a ton more stuff you can do within the various Good Lock modules if you experiment around a bit. For generic Android, I do not...

    DS Firmware Revisions

Not much, to my knowledge. The main notable thing is that firmware v5 marks the point in time when Nintendo switched the LCD hardware in preparation for the DS Lite being released. Phat units with v5 or later actually have the multi-brightness hardware of the Lite, and you can enable it by...

R4 sdhc (renovation) wont boot after i insert gba cart into slot 2

I'm glad the issue was identified. Kinda a shame though, as I was gearing up to mention how certain slot-2 carts had weird power requirements that the DS Phat/Lite didn't like. I made a YouTube video mentioning that at one point, when showing how to backup GBA save files from official carts...
