    I tried again with a USB stick connected, and it worked. However, I thought it was being written to the internal eMMC and the console would work normally again. Or did I misunderstand something and the eMMC needs to be replaced?

    I followed this step... On very low firmwares the websrv frontend may be broken in the ps5's browser, for the time being you can open offact by going to <yourps5ip>:8080/ on your pc... then the menu appeared on the ps5 and I was able to activate my Psn account.
