Oled mod gone wrong (cpu cap and pad missing)
Thank you for getting back to me. I’ve checked into this, but it feels quite complex. I’ve noticed some discussions about the regular Switch missing the same cap, and those users mentioned it worked fine. I’m curious if the OLED model has any differences in this regard.- Kriskrass

Oled mod gone wrong (cpu cap and pad missing)
So a customer send this to me saying a cap near the cpu missing when he tried to mod his oled switch he also broke one of the pads (see picture) He said the switch did not turn on anymore after this. After investigating i found that the fpc connector was broken which caused a black screen...- Kriskrass

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.+1 -

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
