Ty, that was the issue. What are the next steps to put the save data onto my redNAND?

Tutorial Fixing system memory error 160-0103 (failing eMMC) without soldering | using redNAND with ISFShax

I'm trying to back up my save games with wfs-extract, but I'm getting a weird error: Heres the command I ran: wfs-extract --input "D:\mlcbin\mlc.bin" --output "D:\mlcbin\Dump" --otp otp.bin --seeprom seeprom.bin Error: Unexpected WFS version (bad key?)

A really, REALLY old browser exploit (for 5.3.2)?

How do I restore my saves after I dumped the MLC? The failing eMMC guide mentions merging files in the right order, and using wfs-extract, but it's not really too detailed

How do I get to the UDPIH recovery menu from the minute menu? Right now, my console autoboots to the minute menu without showing the nintendo or wii u logo

Is 128GB big enough to store the MLC? And can I use the same SD card that I have the redNAND on?

I'm getting the 160-0103 error whenever I select the third option in minute and try booting my regular NAND. That's kinda weird, I was usually able to boot normally before I installed redNAND, and I only got the 160-0103 error when trying to play games or update.

I was able to install Aroma and SaveMii, but when I went into the SaveMii app, it only showed my save data from my vWii

I installed all of the necessary files, but the Wii U just boots normally from the redNAND, without installing any CFW. Do I need to go back to the minute menu to install Aroma? If so, how do I get there without the Wii U just booting normally?

I was planning to use the UDPIH recovery menu to get the save files. But, if SaveMii is a better option, then I'll just use it. Do I need to install Aroma before using SaveMii?

Thanks for your help, I was able to complete the redNand guide successfully. I honestly thought I would have to buy a new Wii U. I still have one issue, though. I'm trying to get my Miis and save data on my redNand. Is there a way to do this without another SD card?

I haven't completed everything yet, but it's looking good. I was able to get the recovery menu up, and the minute main menu up. I also installed ISFShax. After the console has turned off after installing ISFShax, is this the part where I set up the partitions in the SD card?

Does the 000500101000400a (OSv10) title allow it to work on my Wii U? I have tried UDPIH in the past, but it didn't work, and I was told that the reason why is because UDPIH only works on versions 5.5.3 and above

The u.wiidb.de also just doesn't load, like the other exploit. I have a Raspberry Pi Pico

Yeah, you were right. I replugged the SD card in and the browser exploit worked. I ran the WUP installer, and installed 000500101000400a to the NAND. However, after I rebooted and retried the browser exploit, the Browser exploit is now stuck on the wiiu.insanenutter.com/payload532.html...

The card I'm using rn is the one that worked with the Browser exploit. I formatted it to FAT32 a couple of days ago with GUIFormat.

Yeah, it's just the app and files. I tried the Browser exploit with this SD card, but I got an error saying: "FSGetMountSource failed." edit: it was FSGetMountSource, not FSGetMountExploit

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
