A modern Equivalent looks to be the WD Black p10 4TB. I had also heard a drive over 4tb quickly caused data corruption but this was some time ago...

    it very well could be a corruption from the (known) corrupted stock image. Might want to consider saving and backing up your prod.keys / nand / etc. and getting stock back up and running, and then see if you still have the problem with a fresh version of hats or personal rebuild. Weird things...

    If I decide to hardmod my v1 unpatched switch myself, what is the recommended solution these days, I don't really want to build the modchip myself. I read somewhere else to look for the HWFly v5 specifically, but that post was a little old. Its hard to tell what the most updated info is.
