    I was able to resolve this issue -- for whatever reason guitars on fire does not work with newer wiimotes with integrated wiimotion plus. Older white remotes work just fine.

    Looking for some help getting GuitarsOnFire working on my vWii. Similar to a post on this site by xXTopaz in 2018, I downloaded GuitarsOnFire from wii brewology and it seems to work on startup, but my controller turns off and I am unable to control the menu at all.
