I've heard mixed things about recent versions but I don't want to downgrade so far that performance decreases...

    Yeah that seems to be the case. I was wondering how you got your games to run at 60 fps on the old version? I downgraded to 1.16.0 and I am still capped at 30 fps. It looks like it's running at full speed with no stutters, but the framerate shows that it is only 30 fps. What program did you use...
