    What I noticed today was that my PS4 was blinking amber led while it was in rest mode. And, of course, waking it up it shut down and made the HDD check. Now, when I put the PS4 in rest mode, there is a solid amber light. So, if the amber led is blinking, be prepared for HDD check.

    Check if it is GPT or MBR. When I tried to update, the PS4 did not recognise GPT USB drive. When I converted to MBR, it worked. Just checked what is my exploit USB - it is MBR. Edit: Just checked - the Win32 Disk Imager is converting GPT to MBR automatically.
