ROM Hack Extracting SNES VC Rom & Restoring Audio

The method I discuss in the OP is just following the info in my post and trying to find a way for it to work. I gave up in the end, other projects to sort :)

Ok cool thanks mate. I don't need to use my Wii yet, think I'll wait and just test your new boot.dol when it's out :)

USB Loader GX - Empty Game Names on Boot

I'm using USB Loader GX Enhanced, and have the latest UNEO channel booter loaded into Priiloader. I'll try going back to the start with a fresh/cleaned SD card next week :)

USB Loader GX - Empty Game Names on Boot

I also can't load homebrew apps from USB Loader anymore, only from the Wii menu.

USB Loader GX - Empty Game Names on Boot

Seems like maybe a problem with the file installed in Priiloader to boot into USB Loader. Is this something other people have had before?

USB Loader GX - Empty Game Names on Boot

Very strange problem here. When booting into USB Loader GX some* or all of the game titles are blank/empty. Going back to the Wii menu, then launching USB Loader GX from there, all the game names are there again. *When using the option "Titles from GameTDB" only some names are blank.

Updating USB Loader GX - Boots into old version

Thanks mate. What I did was uninstalled the channel and the Priiloader installed file. Then i grabbed the latest forwarder channel wad, installed that, then installed the latest Forwarder in Priiloader. All sorted now.

Updating USB Loader GX - Boots into old version

Hey folks I think I may have missed a step here. I copied over the r1272 version files, I used to be on r1271. However, when the system boots into USB Loader GX it loads up r1271. If I quit back to the Wii menu and load the channel, it loads the r1272 version correctly. I have Priiloader installed.

Homebrew DSi Twilight Menu++ - Overclock cart games

Last question on this. Is there a list anywhere of games and how they perform with the Overclock, good or bad?

Homebrew DSi Twilight Menu++ - Overclock cart games

Hey folks. I have Twilight Menu++ and Unlaunch on my DSi. Had good success running .nds ROMs from the SD card at enhanced clock speeds. I was wondering, can the enhanced clock speed (and sound frequency?) be applied to legit carts? If so what settings do I need to check or how do I do it?

ROM Hack Extracting SNES VC Rom & Restoring Audio

I've had a play around more today and I think I've discovered something regarding Wii and 3DS VC titles. At least, I couldn't find anything about this from searching. Documenting here in case it's not known. In my post above where I said "chopping off all the extra PCM data from the bottom"...

ROM Hack Extracting SNES VC Rom & Restoring Audio

Last update on Super Mario World. Figured out where in the data (using HxD) the PCM file should start and end, and realised there was actually some junk at the bottom of it that needed to be deleted. Now using snesrestore I can merge the .rom and .pcm files together to produce a fully working...

ROM Hack Extracting SNES VC Rom & Restoring Audio

I've just followed the same method for Zelda Link to The Past, with the same success. Copied over the audio portions from the USA ROM, and the remaining differences correlate to the VC changes such as decreasing the flashing intensity. So it seems so far this is a viable way to backup, and...

ROM Hack Extracting SNES VC Rom & Restoring Audio

It is possible to simply copy over all of the non PCMF data from the USA ROM and paste it over the same area in the extracted ROM. Doing this, as well as chopping off all the extra PCM data from the bottom, results in a SHA-1 of 50A2312099AE7CDF7140E6E66AC0E0A44B9E4779, which is the same as...
