Hacking Cold boot Xbox 360 Trinity not booting

I believe it's a common problem with trinity, you can try to flash a new timing file. Mine have the same issue but it happens randomly, flashing a new timing file made it happen less frequently but I was never able to sort it out completely. I did try to solder everything again, and the same...

Hacking Jasper: Install squirt dualnand pcb (512Mb) with coolrunner rev c.

Hi, I have a jasper where I have installed a coolrunner rev C. I wanted to have a dualnand system so I purchased the cheapest chip I could find, the squirt dualnand (512Mb), beside the price, I have used a similar chip (16Mb) on my trinity so I know it works fine. I found an image on google...

Hardware Damaged traces on Jasper motherboard

Hi all, I was changing the termal paste on xbox360 (Jasper) and by accident destroyed some traces with xclamp removal tool. Will I need to remove the green stuff and connect the traces or can I jump them somewhere ? Is it two traces or just one ? It seems 2 but since in one I cannot see...

Hardware Xbox one controller (model 1537) damaged analog pads on PCB

I think it was just securing things, because I soldered everything and I didn't notice a relevant difference. In any case, its this one:

Hacking Help: Switch after SX core install shows the green light but doesn't boot

Changing the flex solved the issue. I could clearly see the damage on the flex when I took it out, probably was done when putting the heatsink in place.

Hardware Xbox one controller (model 1537) damaged analog pads on PCB

Hi all, I'm trying to fix an xbox controller that has damaged pads, the ones where the analog stick is soldered. Close to TP16 there is a pad that I guess it came off, I though repairing it but I can see where it connects. Does any one know where the pad should be connected (jumped)? I do...

Hacking Help: Switch after SX core install shows the green light but doesn't boot

There you go, didn't take a picture bellow the fan because I didn't move it. My guess is close to the battery where the heatsink fits but it doesn't look that bad...

Hacking Help: Switch after SX core install shows the green light but doesn't boot

I thought about the flex because maybe I damaged it when I took off the heatsink so I ordered a new one. So the Tegra is not involved in sound in any way? Although, I guess if it was a Tegra problem all sound would fail and not just the button right ?

Hacking After SX Core install, my Switch doesn't start.

Maybe its a damage cap, I don't see anything on the picture to be honest. I though I could help because I had similar problem, first because I was not putting the NAND chip in place and then because I bridged one cap. Your case seems different, maybe you can grab a multimeter and check each one...

It doesn't look bad. Did you put the NAND in place when you turned it on ?

Hardware Volume down button not responsive

Hi all, My volume down button stopped working, the power and the volume up buttons work fine and I can reduce the volume on the menu. Just when I press the volume down button, nothing happens. I thought it could be related with the buttons cable so I ordered one (still waiting for it to come)...

Hacking Help: Switch after SX core install shows the green light but doesn't boot

I realised that the volume down button doesn't work after I installed the modchip. Can it be in any way a damaged/bridged cap ? Should I look somewhere else ? I bought a new flex cable for power/volume because I though I may have damaged it when I took the headsink off, can it be this ? I...

Hacking Xecuter SX FAQ - Finally!

Some noob questions as I'm new to this: 1) I'm doing a NAND dump and I have my SD card formatted in FAT32. I want to use Exfat because I think it will make my life easier because of fat32 limitations. Can I just copy all the files I have on the SD card to my computer, format the SD card...

Hacking Black screen after SX Core install

The thermal paste is because I took the picture just after I dissembled the switch again, it does look bad on the picture. The problem was the bridged cap, I took out the solder with a solder wick and the switch now boots. Had to use a microscope to be sure about the bridge. I was also...
