    Hardware PS5 HDMI missing components

Found out this: Its working perfectly. Had to do a special bridge for the diode that I got. Same specs as mentioned above but way too big (SOT-323).

Hardware PS5 digital HDMI port and mapped the traces that go to the filter.

I got 6 PS5 HDMI ports from ALI-X and they look exactly the same and fits perfectly.

Yes, you are correct about the picture. Probably about the values too :-) Thank you so much. Highly appriciated!

Hardware NS only work in 3rd party docking station - Not in original.

Ok. I replaced the P13USB, and now it works in both docks. Still strange that it will work happily in unoriginal dock, but not in original, when having this fault. Glad it worked.

Hardware NS only work in 3rd party docking station - Not in original.

Hi people, This is the second switch that seems to have a strange problem. They both had a history of having a trashed USB-C port. This was replaced and all connections are 100% ok. They also had a faulty M92T36 chip, so this was replaced. When placing in original dock they will start the TV...

    Hardware PS5 HDMI missing components

Hi people, I have a PS5 here, that went through a hell of a repair-attempt from someone watching too much Youtube and never held a soldering iron. So to make it short, there are components missing.... I not have another board to compare with. I changed the diode with one from a PS4 board...

Hardware my original ps4 may overheat....for good

Hi. You solve overheating effectively by just opeing it up, all the way down to the fan and cooling fins, then dusting out and cleaning thorougly. With regards to the APU, you clean off the old thermal compound and apply fresh. Any of the other systems are prone to exactly the same overheating...

Hardware Components used on the Switch (mostly the motherboard and main console)

I doubt it. The other MAX 17050 chip on the board is clearly marked. This one is on the opposite side of the board. Are you sure? On another card of same design, they are named +ALJ920 On a newer board, HAC-CPU-10, this is what they use in its place. Voltages shown are with only 5V USB charger...

Hardware Can AutoRCM turn on by itself?

Thank you for a thorough answer. Seems like it would only be theoretical chance of this. Would the unit work normally, if taken out of AutoRCM after such an unlikely event?

Hardware Can AutoRCM turn on by itself?

Hi all, Simple question: Is there any way autoRCM can turn on by itself if nobody do any attempt of hacking it? I mean this scenario: kid using Nintendo Switch, AutoRCM turns on by itself one day. Kid can no longer boot his console. Thank you for any answers. Kind regards, Gunnar Alvheim

Hardware Debugging faulty BCM4356 / orange screen / boot loop

I had a switch that would not boot further than the switch-logo - Would not boot into Hekate either. Tried everything. Was a shorted cap above the BMC. Removed the BMC and short vanished. Ok. So then I removed the BMC from a pretty trashed board, reballed it, and resoldered it to the new board...

Hardware Rebal TWICE, not sure if correct.

Hi. I have a BSOD on one unit here, and since I suspected the BGA-array under the SoC to be the problem, I attempted a reball. I am pretty sure it was succsessful, but how do I verify this? It will go to RCM, and it is possible to inject payloads, and I see the menus and other graphics on the...

Hardware Components used on the Switch (mostly the motherboard and main console)

Anyone got an idea as to what this 3*3 BGA chip is? Pulled from the site you see here on a HAD-CPU-01 board, and with the markings +ALJ 807

Hardware 2-3 hot components. Two shorts.

Lucky you. This was not the case here. As mentioned, I have removed almost all there was to remove :( Your board is not like my board. The area you mention is almost empty in my board with almost no components. Glad you found the fault :-) But how did you exactly find that out? On my board...

Hardware 2-3 hot components. Two shorts.

Anyway. I did remove the coil, and nothing happened. Not surprisingly, since a coil should have continuity. So I went to inject voltage into those point where the capacitor was. I put current to 200 mA and increased the voltage from 1 and up to 5 volts. Then I could feel one are starting to...

Hardware 2-3 hot components. Two shorts.

Ok. So I have removed the SoC, the RAM, all the MAX ICs, and still the board is full of shorts in so many places. Can somebody give me a clue as to how this is possible? It was waterdamaged. Any shorted capacitor I desolder is fine outside circuit. Can I inject voltage to see what happens...
