Official MediCat USB - A Multiboot Linux USB for PC Repair

Is this supposed to be a joke or drunken message or is the poster a total idiot? My best guess is that he/she (or probably other!) is a troll.

Kon-Boot doesn't include UEFI support??? I'm sure it does as it can beat Windows 10 online logins & is often updated.

Is the included free Lockpick tool as good as "Kon-Boot" in that it can boot regardless of password?

This looks like a very useful site with many decent tools which should definitely be added to the Lockpick suite.

You say that you've changed the version of Malwarebytes to a newer version? I wonder why the scan never completes whenever I try this app, particularly after I've updated it to the latest definitions?

@Jayro In case you hadn't noticed, Memtest86 v9.0 is now at build 2000

After I disable my AV (NOD32) & go to Window Defender, it simply tells me that my AV is "snoozing" & there are no other options to disable. auto There are 2 new versions of Memtest86 that maybe should be updated on Medicat? You've still got v8.3 but there has been v8.4 since May 2020 & there...

Thanks...did you prove it works using BIOS or UEFI boot (or both) ?

A computer either has a UEFI or BIOS, but not both? As my laptop boots using UEFI there is no way for me to try the BIOS option? Could the fact you are now using Ventoy be why UBCD used to work on this laptop & now doesn't?

I've just been playing with V20.11 & have a few questions: Is there any relevance to the [UEFI] & [BIOS] before the filenames in the various categories? Is it to signify that this software is not compatible with the opposite thing? I use UBCD a lot in v20.10 of Medicat, but in this latest...

OK...I've haven't downloaded the very latest 20.10.1 so didn't realise it had been updated in that point release.

Yes, but v5.3.8 hence my post! Also, I'm technical, but not on the level of most on this thread & I wondered if Knoppix (live Linux boot) could be added to Medicat by default? I know you can download the .iso & boot it directly from a USB stick (which I do), but it would be convenient to have...

UBCD has been updated to v5.3.9 (it won't let me post a link to this for you) This is the software that I use most on Medicat, so an update would be helpful.

I'm currently using Medicat v20.06 which works fine, but I can't decide if I should download the current v20.09 to use instead as it adds new features/updates or wait until v20.10 gets released as with the new Ventoy, VHD stuff may get added etc... plus other bugs gets fixed? Is there any clue...

Does anyone have a clue as to if this issue is down to the individual laptop or Medicat itself?

I've written the latest .img to my 64GB USB stick using ImageUSB on Windows 10. I tried it on an old laptop yesterday & it booted fine, although not all programs worked as it's a 9-year old laptop (probably not a UEFI laptop?) Today, I just tried to boot into Medicat with a modern laptop (UEFI &...

For reference, the MAGNET LINK on page 1 is incorrect with a simple typo. Took me 30 minutes to understand why it wasn't working in my torrent client. You have: magnet/?xt=urn:btih:0F093A98565C20B1EC170FFDCA9F86DE7CC07255 It should be: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:0F093A98565C20B1EC170FFDCA9F86DE7CC07255...
