    Added Petri, Chabwick and Marlo. Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to dump the house exteriors either. Clicking on 'Edit Houses' in NHSE doesn't seem to be giving me the correct houses on the island. Will be going to bed now.

    I don’t think you need to backup, all you had to do is to just restore the save file that has the 10 empty plots every time you want to try again.

    Sorry, everyone! I made a slight correction in this post, because I realised that if you backed up after you made the first save and restored from there later, you will end up getting the same 10 villagers again. By the way, I found Faith on my second 10-villager attempt.

    Hey, I think I figured out an easier way to hunt for the 16 new villagers rather than via mystery islands. First, you replace all 10 of your villagers with this 'No villager' (empty plot) file.     Oh, yes, now that you mentioned it, you do have a point. Hmm, but their houses fix automatically anyway when you move them to another island, though I haven't done that yet. The ones in my zipped file don't have the correct house exteriors, so I decided to take them down.

    Here are the 2.0 Update Villagers. Their portraits won't show up in NHSE, but they work just fine. (edit: deleted the file as they don't have the correct housing exteriors and interiors.)
