Homebrew Collection of old devkitPro versions

I've recently found out about this repository: https://github.com/mid-kid/devkitpro-tool-packages Instead of binaries, it ensures the sources can be built easily, which helps making sure there's a clear way to recover the sources of some of these old packages (it seems to be tagged by date)

ROM Hack Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Cheat Database

Submitted this to gamebanana as a patch, but might as well add these to the cheat file here: Diamond: [Allow following pokemon from the start of the game (v1.0.0)] 04000000 01ECFF08 52800038 [Allow following pokemon anywhere (v1.0.0)] 04000000 020B95C0 D2800020 04000000 020B95C4 D65F03C0...

ROM Hack Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Cheat Database

@SkyQueen I don't have a copy of pearl so I can't really help with the porting if the binary is shifted around. But the branch+links in there are just the original instructions in the binary.

ROM Hack Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Cheat Database

Here's non-input dependent codes in case I guess... My computer's not powerful enough to mess with emulators. The main reason I add L toggling to these is because one of the 3 patches I apply stops overworld events from triggering, which might be undesirable at times. To keep overworld tile...

ROM Hack Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Cheat Database

Converted my walk through walls stuff to the cheat code format used in the OP. I've only tested on 1.0.0, as I want to finish the game unpatched before patching it... But I have no reason to believe the 1.1.0 versions won't work... [Walk Through Walls (Hold L) (v1.0)] 04000000 01AEDDD8...

EZFlash Omega DE - Issues playing Classic NES Series titles.

In my honest opinion, I don't like people telling me I shouldn't do what I'm trying to do because "there's a better way". More often than not it's not very helpful. A bug is a bug, I'm just reporting it in hopes it'll get fixed. But since you mentioned it, these are the only titles that support...

Hacking EZ-FLASH OMEGA Definitive Edition Announced

I'm not sure if my thread was noticed since I failed to categorize it properly, so I'm linking it here, just to be sure: https://gbatemp.net/threads/ezflash-omega-de-issues-playing-classic-nes-series-titles.601071/ Can anyone else try to confirm my issue?

EZFlash Omega DE - Issues playing Classic NES Series titles.

I forgot to add the [Hacking] tag to the thread. If any mod reads this, can they fix it? (and delete this message)

EZFlash Omega DE - Issues playing Classic NES Series titles.

When I load up a Classic NES Series game, like Super Mario Bros or Pac-Man, they load fine, but the buttons don't seem to work properly. Trying to control anything in the game results in the inputs *sometimes* working, but not being able to be held in. The L+R button menu works fine, and with...

ROM Hack Help needed: Attempting to rip music from Pokemon Clover

They likely use a music format incompatible with those tools... If all you need is the music, you can download the music collection from https://poclo.net/music

Hacking How to make your SD card to EZ-FLASH OMEGA(DE) recovery-able?

A simple command on linux to do this without messing with hex editors would be: dd if=DE.BIN of=/dev/mmcblk0 bs=1 seek=512 conv=notrunc status=progress Replace DE.BIN with your binary and /dev/mmcblk0 with your SD card.

Hacking EzFlash Junior doesn't support Pocket Monsters Crystal Version

Since it's been ages since this issue was raised, and a bit more research into the flashcart's protocol and internals was done by several people, I decided to make a patch for "Pocket Monsters - Crystal Version (Japan)" that bypasses the broken MBC30 emulation to use the flashcart's registers...

Hacking EzFlash Junior doesn't support Pocket Monsters Crystal Version

I should've specified, I'm running kernel 1.04e and the firmware identifies itself as FW4. I've tried reflashing with Update_FW4.gb and the problem persists.

Hacking EzFlash Junior doesn't support Pocket Monsters Crystal Version

Hi, I'm writing this as I'm experiencing issues with playing the japanese title, "Pocket Monsters Crystal Version". It doesn't seem to work correctly, because I'm experiencing glitches in relation to saving the data with this game. For example, if you start the game as a girl, save the game, and...

    Hacking Ezflash Junior bricked

Update: I decided to figure out _why_ it wasn't working, and all the power circuitry seemed fine, but I noticed that the FPGA didn't pull its DONE pin high. That means that the FPGA wasn't able to load its firmware correctly. There's an SPI flash chip right next to it (right in the center of the...

ROM Hack Clouded Vision for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX

I've taken a look but Unity menus are pretty complex apparently, and I've never touched unity before so that doesn't help either. I'm sure it's possible but not really worth the effort for what it is. Maybe someone else can take a look.

ROM Hack Clouded Vision for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX

I made a quick patch for PMD RTDX to disable the clairvoyance and big ears flags in every dungeon, effectively disabling seeing items/enemies in rooms you haven't visited yet during the entire game, instead of just the postgame. Use it with your overlayfs of choice, zip includes file structure...
