custom firmware for sega flashback 2018

It's normal for picodrive games to perform poorly. Unfortunately, Genesis Plus Gx does not have 32X support.

32X does not work with this firmware. You would need the Pico firmware for that. But to my understanding, the performance might not be great.

The bios files need to be named a specific way. Pico's bios naming requirement is different than the GenPlus.

Pico won't run CHD. Also, make sure the naming of the BIOS files are correct. I think the naming of BIOS is different for Pico.

How do you know it only goes 3 quarters? When it finishes, it reboots and will always go back to upgrade firmware screen. This is normal. So you could select NO and see how it works. That screen will always appear until you delete the file from the SD card. I would guess the update worked...

Is it the same NIN soundtrack from the original?

EverSD for Evercade Firmware 1.3.1 - Now with Retroarch Support!

This looks really sharp. How do game saves work? Also, can you use sub folders for game location?

EverSD for Evercade Firmware 1.3.1 - Now with Retroarch Support!

Sega CD is my top! Would be cool if there were a way to swap discs for the multi disc games too. In my experience with C64 mini and Genesis Flashback is to share the save files across disc one and disc two. This only works if CHD is in sub folders but with same file name.

EverSD for Evercade Firmware 1.3.1 - Now with Retroarch Support!

I only see that driver when using the new installer from Evercade. But I have to be properly connected to see it. I'll try redownloading 1.3.1. My copy was probably from day one of release. lol auto Okay, I re-downloaded the firmware. It's definitely a different size. Now neither BETA...

EverSD for Evercade Firmware 1.3.1 - Now with Retroarch Support!

Oddly, the BETA 3 won't patch for me. The BETA 2 is fine. Lol. I couldn't get the firmware to upgrade without removing USB download gadget directly from the Device Manager. Evercade needs to be plugged in, hold menu, turned on then the USB download gadget appears in Device Manager...

EverSD for Evercade Firmware 1.3.1 - Now with Retroarch Support!

The link goes to a shady download place. It took me a few tries before I could get the real file. It did not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

EverSD for Evercade Firmware 1.3.1 - Now with Retroarch Support!

The IMG is in the official Evercade 1.3.1 firmware. Download from the official Evercade site. When extracted, it's in the folder "2 EVERCADE UPGRADE TOOL" with the name "Evercade_Firmware.img".

EverSD for Evercade Firmware 1.3.1 - Now with Retroarch Support!

Silly question, but will flashing this firmware put any of my save states at risk? Or are those only stored on the cartridges and have nothing to do with console firmware?
