From what I found earlier: -01/02 are guitar (02 probably supports auto calibration) -03/04 are drums (04 probably has velocity, probably also MIDI Pro drums). -05 is Mustang (17 frets) -06 is MIDI Pro/Squier (22 frets) -07 is Mad Katz Keyboard -09 is MIDI Pro Keyboard -08 isn't anything -00 is...- jas20

I had a look at this a while ago using SimpleHIDWrite.exe, hoping to use the keyboard with a PC without MIDI. Didn't get far because I'm not much of a programmer. I've thrown my data (RB3 Keyboard + RB1 Guitar + LEDs) into a Google Docs spreadsheet...- jas20

If you have Rock Band 3 then your RB2 DLC cache files are probably deleted. You have to go to the store and download a song from each 'generation' until all your purchased DLC shows up. RB3 will delete the files again. Edit: I fail... You said the songs are there when the game is booted...- jas20

It sounds like you aren't generating the files that RB2 needs (the bin files in drive:/private/wii/data/cRBA). After importing into the PC app you need to: -File -> Open SD Card, select USB drive's root, -Right-click your files and Install -> SD Card. Songs installed to the active 'SD...- jas20

The problem with legacy and keys/harmony/pro DLC is fragmentation and "being fair". Apparently finding people with the same DLC as you online is a nightmare. It also is annoying that an early Rock Band/Harmonix fan who buys all the DLC can end up paying more for "the full experience" than a late...- jas20

Just throwing this out there as a cheap solution to the 'last resort / can't wait to use' scenario like I faced. If you're crafty with PPC/disassembler/HEX editor, you can do what tueidj said and replace the controller detection function to allow mixed controllers with virtually no hassle. You...- jas20

Automatic calibration and velocity-sensitive drum pads? Different mapping for HMX and RO peripherals? Edit: Oh wait, RB1 I think also has the 5 possibilities for %r3. How did you get a PID of 0x200 for the Wii/HMX guitar? Mine says 0x0004 (PS3/HMX drums also being 0x0210).- jas20

Thanks for clearing that up, if I ever manage to buy a powered USB hub I'll probably leave Wii Speak plugged in. Does your modification allow both PS guitars and PS drums to be used together for different roles?- jas20
