Homebrew RELEASE L4T Lakka Switch - now with audio and Vulkan

Reading back through your posts I see your Switch revision number starts XAJ7001... mine starts XAJ70001... so could well be a specific hardware issue? Unless anybody else can confirm their Lakka works fine with that revision? Another clue in case it means anything to anyone - as well as it...

Homebrew RELEASE L4T Lakka Switch - now with audio and Vulkan

So I've tried re-installing from scratch again on the Samsung EVO 32GB. I've updated 7z in case that was causing an issue unpacking the release (v18.05>v19). Still the same issue exists - after around 2 to 2.5 mins play on any game/core the game will exit to the Retroarch menu with a black...

Homebrew RELEASE L4T Lakka Switch - now with audio and Vulkan

I tried some more testing tonight - no joy. So I tried another SD card - a 32GB Samsung Evo - this allowed me to format using Windows itself rather than guiformat, I tried 8192 & 64 size sections. I also tried the SD card not named LAKKASD in case there was a weird conflict. Gamecube...

Homebrew RELEASE L4T Lakka Switch - now with audio and Vulkan

I've been having a problem where all games on all cores crash out to the Retroarch menu after about 2-2.5 minutes of play. This was on the previous May version and now the new July version after a full re-install. This includes MAME2010 and Dreamcast games. I have a 400GB Sandisk card...

Official hakchi2 - NES Mini very simple pimp tool

Hi, no didn’t get far in the end sorry. Approached it another way in finding cartridge .crts and re-imaged single d64s for most of the games I wanted (treat the mini like a console). Now that I have usb-host and physical keyboard capability I might revisit this soon though, and have a look at...

Hi Patton - have you tried any later more demanding arcade games like Sega Rally, Crazy Taxi, GTI Club, Super Monkey Ball (has a chd file) etc? I assume Star Wars Trilogy is out of the question! I’ll try myself once I’ve done the usb mod, but wondered if there’s a cutoff where arcade games...

Is there a limit on USB size? Has anyone had success with 128gb yet?

Sorry you’re right, I forgot it’s effectively it’s own front end. Plus it supports Amiga & FM Towns etc which the mini doesn’t do. I shall look into the DOSbox core.

Now that usb host is a reality, any idea on whether a ScummVM core would work at some point? Don’t see any mention of the SNES mini on the ScummVM site at all.

The hakchi2 game command lines or hidden ones in Vice config? I found where you set the drive8type in retroarch (where the controller mappings are) but it applies to all games. I think a combination of crt and d81 might be the best solution for this device but would still be nice to get d64...

Summer Games II - practice an event - Cycling - will prompt a disk change without having to play anything. I had been getting to the same point too around images - a lot of .d81 images available so no swapping needed. However these only tend too have been done for 2 disk games, So IK+ I still...

So download KMFDManic's set of cores https://github.com/KMFDManic/NESC-SNESC-Modifications/releases You'll find the Vice core in here. Drag it over the Hakchi2 left pane to add it to the Hakchi application. Then you can 'Install extra modules' and choose Vice from the Hakchi menu. You'll then...

Have you used Hakchi2 at all or added any other retroarch cores before?

Yes I have disk and cartridge c64 games working on Vice and Spectrum z80 files working on Fuse.

Thanks. Hoping to get some time later to mess around with the flip disk. I assume I can get to the config file under my pc hakchi2 structure or do I have to ftp to the mini? This is a little less of an issue now as I tested that c64/c64gs cartridge images (.crt) work fine. Bit obscure but does...

Hey KMFD thanks for all your great work in this scene, much appreciated. I have a specific question around the C64 VICE core - did you ever try multi disk games? I can get to the settings through the keyboard GUI and find the second d64 file on the SNES. But it seems to freeze the device as...

Has anyone got MAME2003 Toobin' controlling with the SNES pad? I guess tank controls might be a problem?

PAL is not a thing any more after hdmi. EU Snes' games run at 60hz, they are the US roms. The only differences are the console design and no power wall plug for the EU version (but there is still a USB cable supplied).

How many extra games have you added and where are they sitting in the menu? Also which exact version of hakchi are you on and do you still have your original kernel dump?
