    I just think it's silly to conclude either way at this point. Why make conclusions without evidence? If it was a troll post, it's (a little) interesting that it is the same title (and not NES Open), considering that we didn't know the game was on there at the time, only an emulator called...

    I think it's just fun to find something hidden. Especially a whole game built into the OS. People love easter eggs. It often reminds people of old playground rumours and mysterious cheat codes.

    The date was only brought into play when Plutoo found it as a potential trigger action by disassembling the binary. It's not just a guess.

    So it would be special, and people would only see it on rare occasions. There have been similar easter eggs in games in the past (snow on Christmas, etc.).

    OP posted 11 days after this date. I haven't seen any mention of how long this happened before the post was made. It could well have been on the 11th that it actually happened.
