Really doesnt matter what Console.
It was a HDD from a XboxOneX and it was a HDD i formatted before. HDD just doesnt show up under windows as it should. Nah everything can be done with the script in the first post. Dont need Linux for that
And stop promoting your/other scripts. Thats very...
We discussed that on page2. But you have to copy the "bootanim.dat" files from your original HDD A/B folders to the new HDD if you want the bootanimation back or like you already did, wait for a new Update from Xbox Live (offline update wont fix that).
what update file?
You create the A and B folder on the System Update partition.
Is he in the Preview Program? Because OSU1 wont work then because thats an older version than whats currently in the Preview Program....
Its not a bug. The offline update package doesnt include the needed boot animation files. It seems like microsoft changed the way how the boot animation was used. Instead of having the bootanimation on the nand/or internal flash (correct me here) they now have them on the HDD. Probably to free...
That should work.
Seems like MS changed the way the bootanimation is used. When i fixd my OG Xbone, the bootanimation was missing too. kinda annoying now.
So that bootanimation gets loaded from the HDD? Thats weird. But makes kinda sense. Then this got fixd for me by installing a preview update. Should be disclaimer then for people who want to upgrade their OneX consoles that they have to keep that bootanimation file if they dont wanna miss it.
Are you on an OneX or S?
Ive installed a Preview Update on my OneX but im pretty sure i havent seen the bootup animation because the console wasnt completly shut off (i noticed that it takes a while for the OneX to be completly off)
Oh you are on an S? You wont get the OneX Boot Animations...
But the console is on a newer version than actually out for the public, so that OSU1 wont work. And i cant remove that console from the program because i cant even get back into the dashboard etc.
Yes. Found it easier than the OG XboxOne.
But another problem for me now with my OG Xbone. I tried to factory reset my OG XboxOne today. But after some time in the "preparing console" screen i get an E102 error. The problem is, the console is in the preview Program with the latest Alpha...
Forgot to update my post.
Everything is fine. The Console just wasnt completly shutdown. Bootup is there, everything is fine :) The bootup animation is probably on the internal flash too.
So i upgraded an XboxOneX today. Everything went fine. But i noticed now that i dont have a boot animation?
I noticed that on the HDD that was in the box, there is an "bootanimation.dat" file which isnt included within the OSU1 package.
Maybe can fix it when i apply a Preview Update soon again.
Nice to see that this method got updated a lot now. I did it years ago under linux with the old scripts and 1.75TB HDD.
But i have a question. With this updated stuff do you still have to Copy the Original Files from the old HDD to the new HDD? And do you still need a factory reset before...
I haven't played my Switch n a month or so, just been playing Xbox, and just picked to play lil and Damn that A and B, X and Y being reversed always gets me.
I agree Tears is great. I even played thru it completely twice. I've been hooked on playing thru Fallout 4 again though, after they released the next gen version for Series S/X. Is pretty cool update.
because I already got burned out with breath of the wild, which for the most part is essentially the same game, and then again with master mode, which doesn't work as a new game plus (that always felt bizarre to me)
