Homebrew [Wii]DOS core - dosbox Retroarch Wii - new

I noticed the (wiimote) mouse behaves better if i switch audio synchronisation off. Also there is a core option "cpu multiplier", 1,2,3,4 etc that increases speed. Default 1 is about 12mhz AT (a bit slow on later dos games). 2 goes around 24mhz AT, 3 at 33 and so on.

Homebrew [Wii] Atari ST core - Hatari Retroarch Wii - new

You will need a tos image named tos.img (Atari ST bios, preferably 1.02 UK) in system folder for this to work. This is the first time hatari works in Retroarch Wii. https://www.extremetech.com/gaming/293349-when-the-atari-st-was-the-future-of-computing If you have problems freezing every now...

Homebrew [Wii] C64 core - Frodo with some improvements

Frodo supports .d64, .t64 files. About bind key (space) to wiimote, probably has to be done in source code. Joy up can be done easily in input-binds settings. In fact i am using it this way already. About automatically boot games again should be done in source level. About wiiflow i really...

Homebrew RetroArch: Is it possible to use "any" third party USB gamepad?

I have read that up to a certain version some usb gamepads were working (1.7.6?) but didn't test myself.

Would be nice to have but I don't see many people involved in Wii coding for retroarch.

    Homebrew bluemsx-fmsx-handy cores for Wii

All these cores are already in the buildbot nightlies. Buemsx should have the patches too, but doesn't start normally now, it won't load any game, at least on my Wii.

I see they already commit patches for bluemsx and fmsx, will compile and test tomorrow.

    Homebrew bluemsx-fmsx-handy cores for Wii

It needs to be fixed for all cores that wiimote is not working. It is fixed on some of them, that's why handy controls work ok and msx don't

    Homebrew bluemsx-fmsx-handy cores for Wii

They did something in their code (some mouse to lightgun support?) that affected the wii controls in some cores. And i heard they don't have a Wii coder for maintenance. That's why you see many cores can compile for the Wii but there aren't in their nightlies/stable.

Have another one, a WORKING Atari800 core. Atari 8-bit computer systems (400, 800, 600 XL, 800XL, 130XE) and 5200 game console emulator. Also needs Bios to work. Edit:link on 1st post

    Homebrew bluemsx-fmsx-handy cores for Wii

i compiled these 3 cores (bluemsx-fmsx and handy (Atari Lynx). The known problem with latest RA (1.9.0 as of now) that some cores can't identify wiimote and see it as a mouse persists, at least on my Wii using both RA 1.8.4 and RA-Hexaeco. But anyway feel free to use and test them. MSX cores...

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
