    Like I said though, some hardware works, some hardware doesn't. And besides, the biggest thing I said is that he's running on Linux, which could completely render every component in his machine useless.

    First, apparently the linux version of dolphin is not very good. Not only that, but emulation is very cpu dependent, and the 5200u is a very underpowered dual-core processor which is held up mostly by its hyperthreading capabilities. Your graphics card isn't helping the case much either...

    Unfortunately though, being able to run and store the software-side horsepower needed to emulate a wii game, you'd withuot a doubt need much more than 256MB of ram to run a wii game. At least 2GB, and then the Linux version of Dolphin would need to be extremely well optimized (Which it isn't.)...

    bro not to revive a dead thread but a pc with 4gb of ram could run a wii game if it had a half decent processor and graphics card.
