    Nope. Some Games and Updates require higher Firmwares. But if you have a EMUnand, you could update it to 10.X and play your Games on it, leaving the SysNand on 6.X.

    The new Units schould have Serialnumbers starting with XKW. Since I don't have one, you could look in this Thread, if there are some Guys owning a new one already. Other than this, we can`t say anything for sure now, only that there is a VERY high Chance, that they are Patched.

    You could use your old Backup every time, but since you have to be on the latest FW to Go online, I would take the time and do a new Backup. The Thing is, that updating online burns fuses, which prevents booting old FW without a Bootloader e. g. Hekate

    Even if you could transfer you games, the Switch Lite has no know way to boot in RCM, thus you can`t even send Payloads to it. No RCM, no CFW. (Yeah, I know, if it comes with FW 4.1.0.. but I think Nintendo is well aware of this way and stop it)

    One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

    Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
