    Does it happen only in 576p video mode or even in 240p? I use Snes9x RX at 240p resolution with a SD crt TV set and I have noticed (a bit of) frame skipping only in SFX games. Am I right or are just my eyes that are getting old?

    If you use wii for emulation, crt is the way to go. Almost all emulators for wii do support 240p resolution (the native res of the emulated hardware) and they look a lot better on a crt tv (expecially with rgb scart input) than on a lcd. For wii games the choice is not so obvious. If you can...

    I've tested garau, metal slug 3 (underwater stage) and last blade 2 (sound intro skipped with 0.6 release) with "oldretro". They are are almost perfect now. Thank you Wiimpathy and happy Easter!

    Just tried 240p video mode and it's amazing. The only issue I encoutered in my test is a graphic glitch in chpoplifter rom (the bullet sprite is corrupted) but maybe i've a bad dump or the game needs custom settings. Anyway, thank you so much raz0red for your great work!

    @mastershoes I'm with you; WiiColem is a great emulator and an updated version would be great.... With 240p support, it would be perfect!

    I hope that homebrew scene will last for decades... wii is by far the best (if not the only) console for 240p emulation but in some cases (N64 and psx for instance) there is vast room for improvement.

    Tatsunoko vs capcom stick for wii works great with retroarch and it's also quite good.

    Done. Loading times from usb seem a little bit faster but the sound issues remain... Wiimpathy, you're right: if the issue is related to ram, it will be really hard (if not impossible) to fix.

    I tried to change the cache directory in retroarch.cfg but it doesn't work. It seems that cache files could be loaded only from default directory in the sd card.

    I tought that cahe files had to be placed in the sd card (Retroarch/System dir), but if It's possible to move them to the usb drive I will try later and let you know if the stutter issue improve.

For instance, in the underwater part of metal slug 3 first level (when the big fish come out from its hole and a lot of jellyfish are on the screen), music skips for few seconds.
