Homebrew Waithax/Slowhax implementation released by Mrrraou

No, it means exactly what was said. Their version needs to patch the current thread's access table rather than just the process.

That sounds like you may have inserted bytes rather than overwritten them.

Homebrew Slowdowns in Pokemon Sun & Moon

It's not guessing, the models are detailed enough that you could cull vertices algorithmically and still get something that looks alright.

Yellow screens can happen randomly due to state related bugs. Retail SM works with homebrew, as does digital on <=11.1

I don't even know why it's not already working. Using CFW and the CIA version would work for certain, though, not much reason to stay on 9.9 when you can downgrade and install A9LH. IIRC Smealum already did a working POC, but he's on a business trip and can't work on it right now.

I suspected that it would be the retail version that would be un-PASLRed because the production process takes too long. It would have already gone gold quite a while before 11.2 hit, and it doesn't ask you to update even on 11.0, so there's not really any way it would be 11.2. So, no PASLR...

Homebrew [Release]JK's SaveManager - Homebrew CIA Save manager.

There was no PASLR back then for anything IIRC, so it should, yes. I don't know what the problem would be then. I know some people have been having it work on 11.2, but some people haven't, so I think there's differences in the version numbers in the headers depending on the distribution method...

If you're on 11.2 without CFW you're not going to get it to work. Random yellow screens happen due to state related bugs, but consistent yellow screens is PASLR.

Homebrew Slowdowns in Pokemon Sun & Moon

For one, the key word there is almost (the slowdown is atrocious on the o3DS under the same circumstances), and for two, that doesn't change the fact that the poly count is better suited to a last gen home console than a similarly old handheld, which is reflected in the games' performance.

Homebrew Slowdowns in Pokemon Sun & Moon

The models in the game have an obscene poly count. This is something that could probably be fixed with a mod to give much lower poly models.

No, bank has a whitelist, so it won't work with other games, I think.

The update hasn't been finished yet, but when it's finished that will be what you do to solve it. Yeah.

It depends on which version you are on. Download the XMLs from here. https://github.com/ihaveamac/9.6-dbgen-xmls Put the mmap folder directly inside your SD card. On versions below 11.2, this will be enough to let you target it directly. If you get a yellow screen every time you try, you will...

    On 11.1 and below, yes.

That's what I thought, but my copy arrived today and with 11.0 I seem to be able to dump and import saves, so I guess I've been misinformed about this.

It's an extended memory game, which means it reboots the console to start. Rebooting the console closes the homebrew menu and any homebrew programs, like save editors.

Only on new 3DS. o3DS will need custom firmware, that's unavoidable.

Clarifying some misnformation here. PASLR was added in 10.4 (?) for the eshop only, and 11.0 was when it was first extended to other games. What games it's applied to depends on what version your 3DS is. Starting from 11.2, any game (or update for a game) compiled for 11.2 or higher will trigger...
