The luma thing is a bit old iirc, but it did things to prevent Luma from soft resetting into ba9, assuming you're using Luma. The BootCTR9 thing is completely self explanatory and if you dont use bootctr9 then dont even worry about it.

Not sure how much more clear this can be. You put the downloaded arm9loaderhax.bin at root and rename your old one to arm9payload.bin and put it in the anim folder. Not sure what's so hard about that.

Which is why the first thing you should be trying is renaming it arm9loaderhax_si.bin, then if it doesn't work go find a screen init version of a9lh. You can just use SafeA9LH. And no, touching anything to do with A9LH has nothing to do with anything else on either of your nands.

    1) arm9payload.bin is your old arm9loaderhax.bin that BA9 is replacing 2) yes, you need screen init

    Try renaming arm9loaderhax.bin to arm9loaderhax_si.bin

Yes, the .bin indicates the format. Aurora's current repo has a merged screen-init. Payloads named arm9loaderhax_si.bin should enable screen init

What build of a9lh are you using? If it's Aurora's latest just toss _si on the end of the arm9loaderhax its arm9payload.bin not arm9payload. And you only need the 0 folder

https://github.com/wolfvak/bootanim9/releases/tag/0.6.2 Just use this. Until the new stuff is properly released I wouldn't recommend compiling from the current source.

Did you compile from BA9's source? Otherwise it shouldnt be doing that.

Then your best bet would be compiling from source and installing from that.

If adding the _si to the payload didnt work then its likely you have an old old a9lh. Your best bet would be either using the stuff supplied by Plailect in his guide and reinstalling through that or self compiling which ever stage you need to install to update. I can't remember off of the top of...
