I know it's a bit off topic but I bought these batteries for my gba and I get long runtimes. They're good batteries.

What kind of format are these codes in anyway? RAW?
I sort of figured it out. It seems to be codebreaker codes. I tested it out on two games and successfully made my own code list for them. It is a weird way of laying out everything that's for sure lol
The Omega is very picky with rom addons such as trainers, annoying intro credits added by the team that ripped the rom and bad rips. I noticed that as long as I use clean roms it has been behaving just fine even with savestates but maybe mines just one of the good batch.
Arcrypt is a program that encrypts, decrypts and converts cheat codes back and forth from different code types such as gameshark codebreaker ar and raw. I looked for the source code but no luck so far.
Well not all of us are programmers so you can't expect everyone to understand it. Oh yeah the translation is horrible haha and sometimes down right funny.
What about arcrypt? Would you be able to add that onto it?
You know the guy that added the gameshark functionality for the everdrive64? I should ask him on krikzz' forum and see if he will lend a hand. Couldn't hurt to try.
BTW what about the ds carts?
It is really weird how it's formulated. I don't know how they expected people to make their own cheat files out of that nonsense lol. I did find this but it's extremely hard to understand and don't believe it's the same format for the omega. https://wiki.bibanon.org/EZ_Flash/Cheats
Sorry for the necro but any luck? I wanted to add my own cheats and it does say in the manual that you can add your own cheat files with the same name as your game but they don't say what format the codes must be in or any of that, only that it has to be a cht file. Anyone know what codes can be...
I'm hoping an X7 comes out. Savestates and cheats. Until then I don't plan on getting the X5 ever. To me the size doesn't matter because I'm using an original gba with a 101 screen I made a few years ago but I totally understand that others use the different other gbas out there. Maybe some day...
Thanks for all the insight guys. If what kuwanger said could be done then I think it's worth incorporating. Make it an experimental mode with a disclaimer of the risks. I'm sure some codes would be easier to use on certain games than others so as long as people understand that then why not. I'll...
Ah ok that makes sense. Is it possible to use the NOR memory for cheat code usage? Maybe make it an experimental cheat mode?
Also is it really that much more taxing to add a menu to disable certain codes from the patch?
The Supercard somehow does it with no issues and that's only like 15 bucks at most. How long is too long? The chinese to english translation is horrible anyway so it needs to be rewritten. I'm sure there's a better way to do this. There has to be.
I really appreciate the honesty
Darn it that sucks. It's the only flaw I have about this flashcart. Well if anyone can do it please let me know. I'd be more than glad to help fund it.
Thanks for the information fellas. I knew something was cheapened out. Oddly enough though that with my clone it loaded up the roms fine when I had the v3 os file on it. Maybe the newer ones are exact for exact now.
I'll open the case and take a few pics. Maybe you guys can look at it and...
Thanks for the reply. Yeah it's not the battery. But I figured out the problem. Certain codes will not apply. Like for megaman 2 I couldn't get any of the codes to apply but megaman 3 and megaman 4 did just fine. So to counter this I found a program called cccgp to patch the game with the...
I'm sorry for reviving this old thread but I feel it's still very relevant. I just received a clone from a seller on aliexpress just like Monty Kensicle did. It plays roms fine but the game genie function doesn't work. It doesn't save the cheats even when you load them from a text file.
Also...
