Hardware Roxio GameCap On Intel Laptop

That would make sense. That screenshot looks more indicative of that, or an incompatibility, rather than an incapability.

Hardware Roxio GameCap On Intel Laptop

Intel's site says you have Quick Sync, which is their hardware encoder/decoder, so it should be able to. You may not have OBS set to use it, though. This guide covers how to configure OBS to use it. https://forums.serverbuilds.net/t/guide-streaming-with-intel-quick-sync-in-obs/5010

Hardware Roxio GameCap On Intel Laptop

Oh, does it? I actually don't know. I would hope that it would use the GPU if it detects one that's capable. Otherwise, it makes sense that it'd fall back on software encoding. That's a laptop CPU, too, so I wouldn't hold my breath for any miracles. OP, have you tried capturing something less...

interactual player not working with my computer

You'd be surprised. A ton of malware is still 32bit only, and so long as ATMs and point-of-sale systems continue to use XP, there will be malware for it. I particularly like the jackpot strains. CutletMaker and the like are really amusing.

Hardware Old laptop crashing after RAM upgrade – Any ideas?

I think many retro enthusiasts know how well Linux can revive older tech. That's what I was selling people on 10 years ago. Can't tell you how many Compaqs and Packard Bells I threw Ubuntu on back in the day. Also, if you want something slightly newer, there's LMDE. Mint still maintains a 32bit...

is there a way to stream to a second monitor (TV)?

Since it's Fire TV, you should be able to use DLNA casting. https://www.androidauthority.com/stream-pc-to-amazon-firestick-1007595/

Hardware Roxio GameCap On Intel Laptop

This is going to be dependent on your GPU more than anything. That's what encodes the video, and OBS uses the h.264 codec by default. If your GPU can't handle that, though, you're likely out of luck. There's no way to use a less demanding codec.

Tutorial Using a Secondary Drive For Steam On Linux

And LiteSpeed...Though, thankfully, I only have to worry about NGINX if it's being used as a reverse proxy. Anybody who sets it up as a standalone is on their own. Anything outside of a sem-traditional LAMP stack isn't my problem. Right, exactly. When explaining something, I use "$whatever" all...

Tutorial Using a Secondary Drive For Steam On Linux

That's a good point. The "$USER" variable is what was making me immediately jump to that conclusion, and on a regular basis, I'm working in things that will flip out if you chmod to anything that's not what they expect. So, that just came from force of habit (or rather, what I've seen people do...

How to safely eject Android phone from Windows?

Yeah, that's totally understandable. It doesn't do a good job of distinguishing between the two, and I think the only way you can "eject" it is with Windows Media Player. I remember doing that with an old Zen MP3 player back in the day. I don't even think WMP exists anymore, but MTP was...

How to safely eject Android phone from Windows?

There's no option to eject because MTP isn't a mounted storage protocol. It's a file transfer protocol, and you can think of it more like a data stream. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_Transfer_Protocol You can safely unplug and replug it as you want. Android does all of the file system...

Tutorial Using a Secondary Drive For Steam On Linux

Nowhere does the guide imply that anybody should be mounting a single partition all over the place. It very plainly covers a single user's home directory. What you said doesn't make much sense, either. Why wouldn't you instead create a Steam partition for each user, and mount those, rather than...

Help find title - PC flying/driving game with random generated maps

What kind of 3D graphics are we talking about? Are they super polygonal, or are they closer to what we saw in '99/'00? What other game modes did it have? You may be right, too. This era was lousy with shareware games, and it might have been something bundled from the OEM. Since you know the...

Does the general emulation community understand that:

That is true, and I realize now that what I said may come off as an implication toward the contrary. I was just speaking strictly on Sunshine/Moonlight, but there definitely are other solutions. Mileage will also vary with how enjoyable the experience is, depending on what you go with.

Help find title - PC flying/driving game with random generated maps

I'm not sure if this is it, but SODA Off Road Racing comes close to what you described. My elementary school computers had this game for some reason, but I don't remember if it had planes. It also has a track designer (with water), but I don't remember if anything is procedurally generated, or...

Does the general emulation community understand that:

These are reasons why I like Sunshine. What OP is referring to is a very WIP WINE port for Android. At least in reference to Winulator. Rather than deal with compatibility headaches, though, and the things you listed, I find streaming to be much more pleasant and reliable. Only issue is that you...

Does the general emulation community understand that:

Depends on the phone. I've got a Pixel Fold, and I quite enjoy emulating on it. The case I have has a kickstand, so I can tabletop it like a Switch. I can actually hold it in my lap better than a Switch. It's much more wieldy.

Tutorial Using a Secondary Drive For Steam On Linux

This guide is for the Linux desktop, and is going to cover how to mount a secondary storage medium on your Steam directory under your user's home directory. The benefit of this is that you don't have to do any reconfiguring under Steam, nor do you have to "move" your games using the Steam...

How do I use WOLF RPG editor?

"Read the manual". And to be fair, manuals exist so you can learn how to use the thing you want to use. It's no different than somebody typing up a tutorial as a forum post. It's likely to be just as dense.

Hacking Gaming Others Modding Pizza Tower on the Steam Deck/Linux?

Oh, well that's universal. You'd need that regardless of your OS. At any rate, glad you got it figured out.
