    Ah ok I have an O3DS so I guess it must have been my tinkering with RXtools and fixes for Smash before it was suggested I could have just updated the emunand firmware, i'm just about to start the cfw install process again so I will update if it corrects the smash black screen.

    Thank you guys for being so helpful its working just fine now, the 3DS got a tad confused after the update because I had rxtools booting through home menu hax and the first thing the system wanted to do was launch the home menu after a fresh firmware install so I got caught in a bit of a loop...

    Ah right ok I see no my EMUNAND is still on 9.2.0 after I did the downgrade yesterday, sorry for the noob question but is it as simple as just running the regular update to 10.3 in EMUNAND?

    i've got exactly the same problem I can not get super smash to boot just kicks me out with an error like OP. Ive installed what I think is the latest rxtools and installed custom firmware switcher which has a separate mode for smash and monster hunter..still no luck :/?

    Hacking It is now possible to downgrade to 9.2

    Works for me old 3DS here UK just gone from 10.3 down to 9.2.0-20E... only sweaty palm moment was when it finished installing the cia files and said it waiting to reboot in 10 seconds...which it never did I had to manually power the console off and back on again.
