Hacking Haxchi - Boot fw.img from NAND - No SD card needed

Sounds good, very well investigated :) Are there any advantages in terms of loading speed? As fw.img is just around 20MiB unfortunately not?

Hacking need help picking a protable hard drive

Good to know that an SSD does not need a Y-cable. But I for one think that an SSD via USB2 on a WiiU is an absolute overkill. I prefer using a normal USB2.0/3.0 external drive. But in this case you definitly need a Y-cable OR a external power supply unit for it.

Hacking Loadiine stopped working? Error 112-2600

The only thing I can imagine to fix this problem - as you said that you didn't change a thing - is to clear the browser cache and history on your WiiU. If this does not fix it, try to clear the cache and then switch the WiiU off and back on.

Hacking How to update app youtube?

If you're on 5.3.2 you probably have enabled TubeHax DNS. If you've enabled TubeHax, the YouTube app won't work. --> You don't need to update.

Hacking [WIP] Smea's coldboothax, redNAND, homebrew Proof-of-Concept

This^ But: TVii was never released in Europe so this is no proof point. But also: Why should smea lie? When he says he is on 5.5.1 I for one would believe him.

Hacking Wii U Hacking & Homebrew Discussion

MN1 has developed his own exploit. He won't release anything unless it gets patched by a Ninty update. So: no drama. Actually there has been no drama when smea/plutoo jumped in a few weeks ago - Only the users on GBAtemp were raging. Hykem was just assuming that smea/plutoo would release his...

Hacking Wii U Hacking & Homebrew Discussion

Why shouldn't we? IOSU manages access to USB (and many other things). The upcoming homebrew would then also have IOSU privileges.

    Hacking Hykem's 5.5 iosu Exploit

Yes, but double check if the updated version is 6.0 :D I'm curious how long it takes for anybody asking how to obtain version 6 ;)

    Hacking Hykem's 5.5 iosu Exploit

If anyone is in the mood to update his/her WiiU: Almost anywhere you can read: DON'T DO IT! If you do update anyways: Don't blame it on us afterwards. You can still become some kind of incompatible to any upcoming exploit releases.

    Hacking Hykem's 5.5 iosu Exploit

Yes, DNS responses are cached: - On the WiiU - On your Router - On your PC - Almost everywhere You may have the new DNS servers entered within your network settings on the WiiU. But your router already knows the IP addresses of "update.ninty.whatever.com" and doesn't look it up once more for...

    Hacking Hykem's 5.5 iosu Exploit

That's how DNS works. Even if you change from a public DNS to TubeHax: Ip addresses are cached so that the client does not need to do another DNS lookup. So even if you change now to TubeHax, chances are that the ip addresses of ninty update servers are already looked up. EDIT: It's not...
