    i restored my sysnand with the backup not emunand... but what i suggested you do was to restore the backup onto your emunand.. and it should still work... as long as you keep the game up to date by installing the cia update files for the game you should still be able to play online... if you do...

    yea i just checked just now.. so after downgrading i still had my nnid and purchased games on my 3ds which included mh4u along with my saves... took a backup... formatted emunand... unlinked them... then restored backup on sysnand .. you could restore it onto emunand ... i'm still able to play mh4u

    i dont know what to tell you but i've done 3 US and 1 JP so far and im 4/4 is it a soft brick? have you tried booting safe mode and updating to get them working again so that they're not bricked ..?

    i've done four n3ds downgrades so far and they were all successful... my capture card n3ds was the one that seemed problematic but eventually succeeded after like 60 tries i still think user error is the primary cause for failures/hardbricks...

    just wait then... you already explained yourself earlier after giving it a shot and it not working out... and you cant afford to buy a replacement... so just wait... i downgraded 3 just fine... two were on 9.9 and one was on 9.6 :) two are launch n3ds one is mh4u bundle n3ds

    mm i mean the only reason i was willing to go through with it is because i have 3 consoles .... once it worked on one i tried another and it happened to work on all 3.... if you dont have a hard mod,a nand backup, and only one 3ds and don't feel comfortable taking a risk... i suggest waiting...

    from what i can see that usually goes wrong for people is that they end up installing the wrong .cia files which causes a brick.. just make sure you have the right version and region for your files.... on my first n3ds downgrade i thought i bricked it because the screen was black and it wouldnt...

    ive downgraded 3 n3ds XL so far... and following the same method... i used menuhax to directly boot to HB and then select sysupdater... v0.42b ... the last 3ds was a problematic one... it would always freeze and the closest i would get was the complete menu with corrupted text.... so i removed...
