    it had to do something with the system update because it did work on their fine beforehand, and works on the ds lite still

    just an update: So I have both DSi and DSL patches on the card. Just as before, the DSi patch starts up and says it updates the card, but no luck with it working in the 3DS as usual. The DSL patch just says FAIL for card check even though it is the same card that just trie dot update using...

    sorry for the delay. I did have the wrong patch! I put the correct one on there and did the "hit A to begin" screen but it immediately says FAIL next to the line with card check.

    Got online at work via Mario kart ds rom, but I connected and then powered off and back on to try the patch again... Same results of it saying it succeed- but back screen with white text when put into 3ds --- thoughts?

    i guess some internet connections are not configured to allow the wfc to connect? i tried 2 free wifi place and even my neighbor but those all came up as a grey lock and won't allow connection... i'm going to take it to work and see if it can work there, as i thought in the past i played my ds...

    and from wi fi settings then what? I can't test right now as while I was waiting i tried to do an update from the start menu of the r4 card in my DS lite, and it is just sitting there connecting for the past 10 mins...
