ROM Hack Pokemon HG/SS freezes R4 card
An R4 SDHC Revolution for Ds (ndsl/nds). Sometimes it freezes when Lyra shows how to catch a Pokemon, sometimes at mr Pokemon. Mostly within 5-10 minutes, the spots are very random.- Erol08

Hi guys, I tried both games on my R4 card with the NDS Lite. After several minutes it freezes, it's randomly but very fast. Hacking R4 SDHC stuck at loading screen
I got the same problem today. You make sure you have the good firmware, there is an topic above. I copied the firmware of a friend of mine's r4, but now it works and with older firmware ot doesnt- Erol08

Hacking R4 ds keeps freezing while playing
Hi guys, Just got an r4 ds card for ds lite for playing old games like Pokemon. When I'm playing the game freezes randomly. 5-15 minutes mostly. I got an very very old micro sd card, could that be the problem? I hope you guys can help me. Greets- Erol08

I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs -

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
